Test

I thought I was going to pee my pants laughing when I took this test, so I have to show you all. Let me know how you do.

Below are four (4) questions and a bonus question. You have to answer them instantly. You can’t take your time, answer all of them immediately . OK?

Let’s find out just how clever you really are….

First Question:

You are participating in a race. You overtake the second person. What position are you in?
Scroll down for answer…..

Answer: If you answered that you are first, then you are
absolutely wrong! If you overtake the second person and you take his place, you are second!

Try not to screw up next time.
Now answer the second question,
but don’t take as much time as you took for the first question, OK ?

Second Question:

If you overtake the last person, then you are…?
Scroll down for answer…..

Answer: If you answered that you are second to last, then you are wrong again. Tell me, how can you overtake the LAST Person?

You’re not very good at this, are you?

Third Question:
Very tricky arithmetic! Note: This must be done in your head only .
Do NOT use paper and pencil or a calculator. Try it.

Take 1000 and add 40 to it. Now add another 1000. Now add 30 .
Add another 1000. Now add 20. Now add another 1000
Now add 10. What is the total?

Scroll down for answer…..

Did you get 5000 ?

The correct answer is actually 4100.

If you don’t believe it, check it with a calculator!
Today is definitely not your day, is it?
Maybe you’ll get the last question right….
….Maybe.

Fourth Question:

Mary’s father has five daughters: 1. Nana, 2. Nene, 3. Nini, 4. Nono. What is the name of the fifth daughter?
Scroll down for answer…..

Did you Answer Nunu?
NO! Of course it isn’t.
Her name is Mary. Read the question again!

Okay, now the bonus round:

A mute person goes into a shop and wants to buy a toothbrush. By
imitating the action of brushing his teeth he successfully
expresses himself to the shopkeeper and the purchase is
done.

Next, a blind man comes into the shop who wants to buy a pair of
sunglasses; how does HE indicate what he wants?
Scroll down for answer…..

DUH!!!!!!! He just has to open his mouth and ask…

This Week

We bought Madison’s new mattresses over the holiday weekend. They are getting delivered today. I went out to Kmart and bought the Tinkerbell comforter and sheet set. It is sooo cute. I also bought a couple of waterproof mattress pads. I forgot how much they cost. And I forgot how much I hate the “we’ll be there between 11 - 3″. At the time, I said it was okay. Today I realized I am not sure how to get Madison to nap if they show up after 1.

Madison caught the cold Bill and I have. She’s really congested. However, it isn’t slowing her down too much.

This weekend is Kari (my sister’s ) bachelorette party. Anybody got any suggestions for this? Let me know before Friday. I am looking for any ideas.

Holiday weeks always screw me up. Today feels like Monday, not Tuesday. Then next week is going to be all screwed up too cuz of Kari’s wedding. Bill has off Thursday, Friday, and Monday.

Ohh yeah. I forgot. My dryer crapped out yesterday. My father-in-law came over and we cleaned out all the lint (how gross!!). Hopefully the load I put in this morning actually dried (cross your fingers).

Gotta go restart “The Piglet Movie” for Madison for the (I think) 5th time today. Stay cool!

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Anyone know a clever way to get your kid to quit sleeping with you. Last night, Bill and I don’t remember Madison climbing into bed with us. Yet, I do remember waking up in the middle of the night and there she was. We both have a nasty cold. I am keeping everyone up with my coughing.

Good news though. I called Blue Cross Blue Shield the other day to find out why the doctor wasn’t covered for her hospital/ER visit. According to them, I am right and don’t owe. Yeah!!!! So we’ll see if they really took care of it.

I cheated again tonight. Since Bill and I are still sick and don’t want to go grocery shopping, I have Peapod dropping off groceries. I love Internet grocery shopping. If anyone is interested, I’ll send you the link. I get free groceries for referrals. :)

Also, I added a Pogo link on the sidebar. Its a pretty cool gaming site. I love to play there. With the link, you can get a 2 week trial to check it out. Like I said, its pretty cool, lots of great games, and I’m there. lol :)

Gotta go make lunch. See ya.

The Weekend

Well, we helped my sister Kari move into her new house this weekend. Its pretty cute. Definately a starter house. That’s why we went to Green Bay this weekend. Now, next weekend we have a graduation party.

Madison, of course, did not sleep while we were there. Like usual. For some reason, when we get there she does not sleep. She sleeps 3 hours then gets up and wants Grandma to rock her the rest of the night in the chair. My mom tried several times to move to the couch from the chair and each time she woke up. One of the times she pointed my mom back to the chair. She’s a little bossy. LOL

Madison also tried to get my mom is trouble. It was pretty funny. Grandma yelled at her for taking wooden spoons and hitting Kari’s walls. Madison went running to me and told me that Grandma was hitting the wall with the spoons. I thought it was pretty funny. Classic two year old behavior.

The only good thing that came from Madison’s lack of sleep was that she slept the whole ride home. She fell asleep in Green Bay before Bill started the van and slept till we were 5 minutes from home. It was an enjoyable drive.

Well, gotta cut this short. Bill and I are both sick (with colds) and I want to go to bed. I just got Madison to sleep in her own room without Bill sleeping on the floor (Yeah!). That was a bad habit he got into with her. Now, if she’ll just sleep in her own bed all night. Keep your fingers crossed.

Wednesday Night

Just catching up on my TIVO tonight. I swear I really do watch less TV with the TIVO. However, we have lots of catching up to do. The bad thing is that I have to watch a lot of these shows twice, since Bill doesn’t get to watch them at the same time I get to.

Bill and Madison are watching Cinderella. Madison’s new favorite movie. They watch it together every single night. Let’s just say, Bill hates Cinderalla now. The funny thing is that on Saturday he was whining that we needed to get more movies for her. Low and behold, what did we find in our mail that day? An offer from Disney Movie Club. So I ended up joining because we got a great deal. Madison is getting 5 DVD’s for $26. I think that’s awesome. We only have to buy 2 more in the next 2 years at regular price. I think we can handle that.

After spending two nights in her new room, Madison ended climbing in our bed about midnight last night. I hate sleeping with her. Bill ended up smashed on one side and I was smashed on the other. We have a queen bed. So that means that she had more than half our bed to herself. Ahhhh. She’s two. She’s not that big. Why, oh why, does she need that much room?

My mother in law gave us a great idea. Instead of moving her into her big bed, she suggest that we buy Madison a new mattress for the new bed and put the mattess on the floor and let her get use to that before we move her into her big girl bed. So the question is how do I talk Bill into letting me buy her a Tinkerbell comforter set?

Enjoy the rain today!
