Eight-track tape deck
When prerecorded eight track tapes and tape players first hit the market in 1965, they were a must for true music fans. At the time, AM/FM radio was the only musical option built into most cars. Only a few very large metro areas had stations that played album rock. With an 8 track player mounted under the dashboard, you were able to listen to artist who were rarely played on the radio.
