Credit Cards

I remember what is was like having Credit Card Debt. It is an neverending downhill spiral you never can seem to get out of. When I was in college, I lived off my credit cards. I use to pay for Bill’s greyhound bus tickets with my credit cards. If I wanted it, I bought it.
Age has brought some wisdom. After Bill graduated from college, we took his first couple of paychecks and paid off all my credit cards. Let me tell you, it was the best thing we ever did. It felt great. We have never carried a credit card balance since and it has been seven years.
My advice to anyone who is over their head with credit cards is simple. Figure out a way to pay them off and do not get back into that cycle even if you use credit card debt consolidation. Guess what? I still charge all my monthly expeses to the credit card like gas, groceries, etc. However, we pay it off every month. Get a credit card that gives you something. I know Discover gives you cash back. We personally use Citibank and get points every month. We can take those points and redeem them for things like buying down our APR, get cool toys like I-pods, or money towards our student loans. We personally have been using it for the student loan buy downs.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel. You just have to find it.
