Julie started a great meme called Who’s Your Best Friend? I have to admit, this is one of the easiest memes I have done in a while.  See those two cuties up there?  I would have to say that they are my best friends.  Madison calls us her best friends, so I guess I am her best friend back. 

Before Bill and I got together and dated, we were friends.  I think that is what has held us together for all these years.  I met when I was 18 years old and started dating him when I was 19.  While we both were in college, we were able to maintain our relationship even though we were two hours apart (and that was during the school year.  During the summer, we were 4 hours apart).  You have to be best friends to maintain that kind of relationship.  There is a level of trust that accompanies this sort of relationship.  When we finally moved in together, we had to relearn about one another.  It is one thing to spend entire weekends together and another to actually live together.  When I miscarried in July, he was my rock even though he was hurting probably as much as I was.  He was my rock when I had a high AFP level, and we had to go through meeting with the genetic counselor and the high level ultrasound.  We tell one another everything.  For example, he has a crush on Jennifer Love Hewitt and cannot stand Jessica Simpson.  He know that I am in love with Brad Pitt and Trent Reznor.  We have been through thick and thin, and he is my best friend.
