Scrubs

I use to work for a urology office. Let me tell you, it was interesting. We all had to wear scrubs. It did not matter if you were the front desk or the nurse. I wish I would have come across Barco medical scrubs when I worked there. These are actually cute instead of the boring ones I had. The prices are a lot cheaper than what I paid in a local shop here too!

One of my friends still works for that office. She is pregnant with twins and due in October. She emailed me yesterday and told me she has already put on 31 lbs! This girl is normally a size 0, so I am trying to imagine her right now. I will have to let her know that they also have maternity scrubs. I think she is going to need them!

Garbage Cans

You know your life is boring when you are excited about getting new garbage cans. Our village just contracted with a new company for our garbage pickup and part of the deal was that they are supplying us with new recycle cans and new garbage cans. They dropped them off this last Saturday. The garbage one is about 96 gallons, and I think the recycle cans are 60 gallons. They are pretty big, but they are on wheels.

Garbage day was yesterday (due to the holiday), so Madison and I watched out the window as the picked up the trash. It was kinda cool. They just hooked the cans up the doohickey (I know, real technical term there!) on the side of the truck. The truck then dumped the can. Madison was fascinated by it. I think I was too. LOL

Online Learning

Everyone has to know by now that I love online learning. The reason I love it so much is that it allowed me to get my degree while I was working full time. I also was building a townhouse and planning a wedding at the same time. I know, I am crazy.

Getting my degree was one of the best things I have ever done. It has allowed me better jobs that I would not have received without it. Even though I am not currently working, I will always have it, and it should allow me easier access back into the workforce when my kids are a little older.

Online learning is what you make of it. It is somewhat harder than being in class. You have to be more disciplined and be able to work on your own. If you can do that, it is something to look into.

Baby Pool

Amy over on the PPP forums has started a baby pool for me. They are all taking a stab at what my due date is going to be, what the sex of the baby is going to be, and the length and weight of the baby. I have already threatened anyone who picks a ten pound baby. LOL

Car Insurance

Our car insurance premium is due June 9th, and I just got the bill yesterday. This is when I start looking to see if we are getting the best price for our needs. I probably do carry more insurance than we need on our vehicles, but with Bill’s job, he is always traveling. He does a lot of driving on the expressways, and odds are that it will be him getting in an accident. That is why we still are carrying full coverage on the Jeep even though we have it paid off and we do not have to.

We also have more than one policy with our carrier. Loyalty with your insurance carrier pays. We have both our vehicles, and our homeowners insurance with the same company. This allows us a bigger discount on all of our premiums. I think the only kind of insurance we do not have with them is our life insurance .

Most likely, we will end up with the same company. However, I like to know that we are getting the best deal around.
