The bathroom surround finally came in!!!! Now, Bill has to talk to his friend Tony about when he can come over and help us demo the bathroom. I am so excited. I want to go tonight and pick it up!!! This also means I get my new tub! Bill picked out a whirlpool tub. I am hoping we can get this in before I have the baby, so I can enjoy it. I constantly have a backache. This should do wonders for that! I never thought I would ever be excited about my bathroom, but I am!

Parenting Teens
Author: LisaMay 30
Madison is only three and drives me crazy some days. I can only imagine what her teenage years are going to be like. She is stubborn like me and is not afraid of too much (though surprisingly she has been afraid of heights lately. Bugs too). You can tell her “no” twenty times, and she still has to do it to see what happens. I am hoping this thrill seeking is something she will grow out of. However, I have a feeling she will not. (I know I didn’t.)
It is nice to know that there are youth treatment centers to deal with troubled teens. I know when I was younger I know several people who could have benefited from something like this. I use to know this guy named Dan who was pretty cool (at least, when I was in high school, I thought he was). However, instead of getting him any help, his parents just ignored what was going on with him. When I knew him, he was a high school drop out already. Last I heard, he still smokes pot all day and has a dead end job when he actually has a job. It makes you wonder if he went to a youth treatment center if his life would be different today. I think it would have made a difference.

This Weeks Soldier Was Suggested By Kathy

41 years old from Ann-Arbor, Michigan

Specialist Ahmed Qusai al-Taayie is a Iraqi American U.S. Army linguist soldier, from Ann-Arbor, Michigan who was kidnapped on October 23, 2006 in Baghdad and has not been seen since.
al-Taayie joined the Army in 2004 to help not only his country, the United States, but also his birthplace of Iraq and was deployed in 2005. On October 23, 2006 he was visiting his wife in the Karrada Shiite neighborhood in central Baghdad when he and his cousin were kidnapped by a group calling themselves Ahel al-Beit Brigades. His cousin was released shortly after. On November 2, 2006 al-Taayie’s uncle received a ransom demand of $250,000 for his return. Along with the ransom came a grainy video that showed a man beaten up who was identified as al-Taayie. No more has been heard from al-Taayie or his captures.

Rain, rain, go away
Author: LisaMay 30
It is sunny right now. However, I just saw the weather report for the rest of the week. The rain is suppose to start this afternoon and continue till Saturday!!! That kind of weather report makes me want to start looking at cheap flights Mallorca. Granted, till I have this baby, I am not allowed to travel, but a girl can dream right? If I am going to take a vacation though, I would definitely go the all inclusive route. It is worth the extra money. I like going on vacation and not having to worry about money the entire time we are there.
Movies

Bill and I are going to see a movie this weekend even if it kills us. We have 2 gift certificates for the theater, and I think we need to use them soon. Any thoughts on what we should go see? I personally am thinking Pirates of the Carribean. Or should we be good parents and take Madison to Shrek 3?
