Acne

I personally suffer from acne. I do not get it all the time — just when it is my time of the month or when I am pregnant. I guess that is called hormonal acne. This kind of acne may be resistant to normal treatments.
When I was pregnant with Madison, it was the worst. My OBGYN called it the mask of pregnancy. Nothing and I mean nothing worked to get rid of it. I thought that after I had her it would go away. Instead, it got worse before it got better. I look at pictures now and am embarrassed about how broke out my face was. It was definitely a hormone issue due to that my monthly friend at that time was lasting 3 weeks at a time. I ended up going on the pill to regulate my period and help clear up my face. I also tried antibiotics and a topical cream. The thing that actually worked the best was the cream. I still have a tube of it for when I have the occasional breakouts. With Will, I broke out occasionally, but nothing to the degree I did with Madison. Plus, with him, my topical cream did work.
It is somewhat embarrassing to be an adult and still have acne breakouts. However, there are definitely things that can be done. Go check with your doctor or dermatologist to determine what course of treatment works for you.

hello! it is true that hormonal acne is harder to control, or may be resistant to normal treatments.. such treatments may not respond to people suffering from this, and sometimes people develop a tolerance from it, especially when frequently using the same ‘medications’. the modalities that is used to deal with this problem may include oral contraceptives or anti-androgens. usually oral contraceptives are used first, if this is not effective, anti androgens could then be paired with it… which is a lot more effective!
Hi, that is true, when facing this kind of problem, should seek for the doctor or dermatologist’s help. I hope you are alright now =D
Hormonal acne will not respond to mild acne cures.
