My Robot
Posted by LisaAug 13
I love the company iRobot. I own a Roomba and let me tell you that it is the best thing since sliced bread. I love that I do not have to sweep or vacuum unless I want, because it does all the hard work for me. iRobot now wants to know what I want in a robot. They have already created my first choice and my second. (My second choice is the robot that vacuums and scrubs/mops my floors. I do not have one of these and would love one!) I would love to invent an iRobot Nanny.
What The Nanny Does And Who Needs It
The Nanny (as I would call it) would be marketed to mothers like me. There has never been a product like this before which makes it special and the first of its kind. You can use the robot to do all things that you don’t want to do in relation to child care. It also self charges itself, so you don’t have to remember to do it. It will not die at the most inopportune time due to it knowing the battery is low. You also could control this with a remote, and it will definitely be both voice activated and be able to accept programming.
I personally don’t like the middle of the night feedings and diaper changes. I would have The Nanny do those for me. I also don’t like changing poop diapers (who does?). The Nanny could take care of that also. The Nanny could also take care of the messes that Madison makes with her toys. I swear the kid owns enough toys to start her own toy store, and they always seem to be scattered over my house.
This would make my life (actually all new mothers lives) easier. I love my son dearly, but I need more sleep than I get at night. I am lucky to get 3 hours straight sleep. I average less than 6 total hours a night. Until you have kids, you do not realize how much another set of hands helps.
What Does The Nanny Look Like?
I would love it to look as human as possible, so that it does not scare children (which would defeat the purpose). I am guessing it most likely would take on woman characteristics, but I am sure men ones could be made.
In my life right now (since I have a 3 year old and a 2 month old), this would be the ideal robot for me. What would your ideal robot do?

I really want of these things! I am the girl that hates to vaccum, so it sounds perfect.
I could have used this about 2:30 am. LOL
Well, I haven’t gotten any left in diapers anymore, thank goodness for that. Not only would this get you precious hours of sleep, it would eventually save you money in the long run. Compare the cost of iNanny to what it would cost to hire even a part time nanny to come and help you with those things! The savings would be enough to buy all your friends an iNanny too!
I didn’t even think about saving money with it. I just want 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep.
