Sedona, here we come!

Posted by Lisa on October 30, 2007 @ 11:03 am

We now have our vacation scheduled for February.  We are going to Sedona, AZ.  The plane tickets and hotel rooms are both booked now.  All I have to do is schedule renting a car, and we are ready to go!  When I called Delta this morning, I was a little surprised that we had to pay the taxes on the free tickets.  It is only $28 a piece, but still.  In the overall scheme of things, the tickets were $409 a piece, so we still are coming out ahead.

We have requested a ton of information to be sent to us regarding tours and such.  I am hoping that information gets here soon so we can start planning what we are going to do once we get there.  Anybody have any suggestions?

  1. Found you through blogrush…again :)

Sedona is beautiful. With your rental car, drive north about 1 1/2 hours and go visit the Grand Canyon.

Also, if you head East a bit on I-40 you can visit the Petrified forest National park…

    Both are can’t miss attractions!

    Enjoy!

Thanks for the advice! I never heard of the Petrified Forest, so I’m going to have to do some research! :)

I know–they are everywhere now–but we lived in Phoenix for four years before moving here to Chicago–and our yearly trip to Sedona meant Outlet mall shopping. The only outlet mall I had seen up to that point with a Tommy Hilfiger store–was just outside of Sedona! Ah, the memories…and the shirts! Have fun!

Any suggestions for what we should see or do when we are there? I can’t wait for the guide books to get here.
