After having two kids, I certainly can understand why women want a Tummy Tuck. My pregnancy with Madison did not mess up my body too much. However, Will wrecked it. Almost 5 months later and I am still having issues with my prepregnancy clothes. My second pregnancy just moved my weight around to different spots. My sister in law (who is due in February) keeps talking about getting one too. She had a C-section with her daughter and will be having another with this baby. Her main complaint after her C-section was that she had lost all of her muscle tone in her stomach and nothing she did ever made it come back completely. She always feels like she has a pooch there (no matter how good we tell her she looks). She always kids around that after this C-section, they should just cut off that extra skin and give her a boob job. Kidding aside, when getting this type of surgery done, you really need to investigate who is doing the surgery. I personally know somebody who had a bad boob job done. The pain and suffering is definitely something you do not want to go through. After paying all that money, you should be happy with the finished product — not having to pay thousands more to fix what should have been done right the first time. I also know somebody who has had great surgery done and would highly recommend it to anyone who will listen. Like everything else, it is buyer beware. I guess the big thing you need to do is to make sure that you research all of your choices.

This is just weird — really not too scary.
When I got married, my mom was sad because her mom (my grandmother) could not be there. (I was in 7th grade when she died.) When it came to the point in the ceremony to light the unity candle, Bill and I did so. We went to blow out our tapers and somehow blew out the unity candle. Yes, everyone in church laughed (I was freaking out in my head). Fast forward to last year. My sister swore she blew out her taper at the wedding. However, the flame did not go out. It looked like it relit itself. After my wedding, my mom wondered if that was my grandmother saying “Hey, I am here”. After my sister’s wedding, she was sure. We have one more weird candle happening. When Will was baptised this year, the priest had a really hard time getting his baptismal candle to light. My mom, sister, and I all looked at each other and smiled.
Weird Coincidences - Part II — I realized this in the hospital before we ever went home with Will. Madison was born 1-7; Will was born 6-7. Madison was 3 days early. Will was 3 weeks early. Madison was born at 1 in the afternoon. Will was born at 1 in the morning. Just enough coincidences to be weird.
I haven’t forgotten. I just got home from a baby shower, and I have to go make a cake, so I will be picking the winners tomorrow!
I am always looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint on this Earth. Solar energy fits this bill. As you may have read in prior threads, I live in Chicago, and they are trying to tax us to death — everything from water bottles, to phones, to extra taxing on our utilities. A solar air conditioner would be answer to my problems. I cannot imagine living without air. It does get very hot here in the summer and with two little ones, I need it. I would lose he guilt I currently feel when I turn it on. You can even get heating systems that work this way too. This is being used worldwide, and once again, the United States is one of the last to implement it.
I don’t want to bore you with how it works. That link explains it with illustrations to help you understand one the easiest ways to save money and save the enviroment.
