Having just come from Vegas, I had to chuckle when I saw the new people search engine called Spock. Why am I laughing? Well, the Hilton had a Star Trek experience that I had to walk past every single day. However, Spock.com is nothing like that. This is a people search engine. You can put it any name and see what it pulls up on that person. I am not going to do my name, but I will try out some other famous people. I know that I get a lot of search engine hits on Hannah Montana, so we will start with her.
Since Hannah Montana’s real name is Miley Cyrus that is actually what gets pulled up. However, you are able to tag people with keywords and one of her keywords is Hannah Montana. She currently has thirty five tags, sixteen picture and four related people associated with her. Spock also lists three very recent new stories on her and a bunch of other sites on the web that talk about her. You are able to add whatever tags you want and remove ones that really do not fit. You are also able to upload pictures of the person you are searching too. Here is a cool widget that you can put on your site for any person search you do:
I still can’t believe that I am twice her age, and she has made more money than I ever will. Another search I did was on Drunk Driving. You can see all of the celebrities that have been arrested for this offense. Guess who the number one person listed is! Paris Hilton followed by George Bush then Lindsay Lohan. I should not find it mildly amusing, but I do.
I could spend all day checking people out. I did do a search on myself, Brad Pitt, my husband, and a ton more people. Instead of Googling people, Spock them instead!

Spock is a very cool search engine. It seems to get information from your LinkedIn profile and perhaps other sources. I have used similar search called ZabaSearch that gives phone numbers and address info. Guess you have to really watch what you put online.
