Go Red

Did you know that heart disease is the #1 killer of men and women? However, it can be prevented. Campbells is teaming up with the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women this year. This year Toni Braxton has also joined the movement and wants YOU to pick what dress she should wear to kick off American Heart Month (Campbell’s is also donating one dollar for each vote and you can vote every day!).  There are some great choices. Voting is super easy and you too can help raise awareness of this killer disease by also adding this widget to your blog!  Just remember — Vote with you heart!

Miami, here I come!

I can’t believe I have not blogged about this yet.  I am being sent to Miami by one of the companies I do freelance work for to go to a conference and man their booth and do some live blogging.  I leave Wednesday and fly back Saturday.  I am super excited and little nervous.  I went and found a business suit to wear one of the days.  It is at the cleaners getting fixed.  The pants were about six inches too long!  I am short, so I am quite use to that.  The jacket was a tad too long also, so they are fixing that.  If I seem to disappear for a few days again, I am nice and toasty warm in Miami!

Winter Cleaning

I think it is time I put away I finally put away maternity jeans and clothes. I am not sure why they haven’t been put back up in the attic yet, but it is time. While Bill is up there, I think I may have him bring down the rest of the Christmas totes, so I can finally put the rest of the Christmas stuff away. Yes, I know this should have been done weeks ago. However, I am still waiting for Bill to bring the totes down, so I can put them away. I have no idea where in the attic he put them. I am getting to the point though that I think I am just going to have to go up there and find them myself otherwise it may be the Fourth of July before it gets done!

Vegas

My parents just got back from a week’s vacation in Las Vegas yesterday afternoon. While calling me to tell me there were home, they happened to see that the Monte Carlo was on fire there. It was kinda one of the those weird things. They had a great vacation and came home a little ahead (woo hoo). My mom said her biggest win was $250 on a nickel slot machine. I was hoping they would win a big jackpot and share with her kids. lol I wonder though — if you had Las Vegas hotel reservations at the Monte Carlo on one of those top floors that are now burnt out, what do you do? Does the hotel find you another place to stay?

Postie Carnival

Haven’t heard of the postie carnival before? Well, it is quite easy to participate in. The rules are simple:

1. Be an active Izea postie.
2. Email us at posties@inbox.com the link to your blog as well as the link to your favorite post.
3. Submissions must be entered no later than 6pm the day before the carnival. (The carnivals will be the 1st of every month).
4. Place a post on your blog directing other Posties to enter the carnival and then another post the day of the carnival directing readers to check the carnival out.

To make submitting easy, I have included a widget in my sidebar that you can use or this link.

Our next carnival is going to be February 1st, and the topic is “Your Best Posts From 2007″.  Thanks and happy submitting!
