Weekend Update

Well, we got them majority of stuff out of the basement over the weekend.  Now, we just have a pile of trash and a few boxes that need to go out.  I am calling for the dumpster this week.  We are planning to demo the one room that is down there this weekend.  Once we do that, we are going to work on our floor plan (I want to add another bathroom down there and Bill wants to add a home office).  I want the basement finished by Will’s 1st birthday (June 7th).  Besides the above rooms, Bill needs to rerun the electric, we need to rerun the venting, and we need to add drywall.  We have a lot of work ahead of us.

We also bought a new stove, but that’s for a post a little later (so I can get a picture).

DialAFlight

Have you ever heard of DialAFlight? DialAFlight is a UK travel agency that allows you to book your flights, hotels, and cars through them. You can even book your activities through them! Surprisingly, you can even book Flights to India. I know if we even went to India, I would love to check out the temples. I like looking at castles, and I think the temples would be just as interesting. The history and beauty of it all is what I love. In one phone call, you are able to plan and book your entire vacation! Who wouldn’t want that?

Ball Pit

You know, it is amazing what you find when you are cleaning out your basement.  (Its even more amazing when you actually talk your husband into throwing some of the stuff away!).  One of the things Madison found was a ball pit that we had when she was little.  We had it deflated, but she found it.  She begged Bill to blow it up again, and since Madison has him wrapped around his little finger, he did.  Here are few pictures from the fun times yesterday

Basement

Well, the basement guy came today. We are now scheduled to have the drainage tile to be put in May 5th and May 6th. That will give us exactly a month to get the basement drywalled, wired (not sure if Bill is going to use fiber optic cables or not), put a bathroom in, get the heat working, paint, etc before Will’s birthday party. Just a few things we need to get done. LOL  This weekend, Bill and his brother are going to carry the furniture out into the garage, so we can start demoing the room that we have down there.  So many things to do, so little time to do it in.

Hum the Boohbah theme song.
Mention glycerin suppositories.
Say, “Does this fat make me look fat?”
Moo when you take your bra off.
Call your partner “Daddy” in a singsong voice.
Remind him of the greatest miracle of your relationship: the time he saw your vagina turn inside out.

I got this list in an email tonight, and it was too funny not to pass it on! Now, a good way to rekindle the romance is take a few luxury vacations (and I’m not talking about the ones to the water park with the kids!). Let me know if you know so more ways NOT to rekindle the romance and I’ll add them to the list>
