Once you get looking at all the recipes on the internet, before you know it it will be past dinnertime! There's a lot out there, and you can get caught up. For pure taste (not health, for sure) I go to Paula Deen's site a lot.

Cooking is all about practice practice and practice... again.

I've been cooking for several years and I still don't consider myself as an excellent cook. You need to play with ingredients and you nneed to know which spice or condiments matches with other ingredients. Once you get the basics, possibilities are endless.

I am naturally a pretty good cook already so I know a few simple recipes (you may or may not already know) to add to the site you've already stumbled upon:

1) Beef Stew - Ingredients are: Beef Stew Chunks from your local grocery store, carrots, broccoli crowns, russet potatoes, cauliflower, and Beef Bullion Cubes. Fill a large pot or crock pot halfway with water and turn the heat on, drop in a beef bullion cube, peel carrots, potatoes, chop up and dump in water along with broken up pieces of the broccoli and cauliflower. Heat the beef chunks in a frying pan until throughly cooked and add those to the stew. Cook for about 45 minutes and you've got stew! And it's healthy and hearty too. You can choose to add spice too. Particularly garlic powder, salt and pepper, just a few pinches of each.

2) Tomato Pasta: Ingredients are: Elbow Macaroni noodles and a can of Campbell's Tomato Soup. Just boil the noodles until softened and then heat the soup in a separate pot adding HALF a can of water to the soup to thin it out a little.

I have a bunch more if you care to know, just ask. Just thought I'd add those in in case you didn't know of em already. They're both filling and both healthy.
