I have to admit that Bill and I are extremely lucky. He has a good job, and we have not ever really been over our heads in debt (college does not count). However, I know a ton of people who need credit card debt relief. Heck, if Bill ever lost his job I think we would be in the same boat as the millions of Americans who have had that happen and watched their bills swallow them whole. In this economy, it is good that there are companies who will walk you through your options such as debt settlement, bankruptcy, credit counseling, debt consolidation, and even just doing it yourself. One size does not fit all when it comes to debt, so make sure you check out all your options.

Taking Deep Breathes

Well, I am trying too. After checking out the basement tonight, I don’t think that there’s any way they are going to be finished tomorrow which is seriously not good. Bill is suppose to move everything back down there this weekend, so we can spend next week getting ready for Will’s party. Bill is going to be gone all day and night on Tuesday plus he still has his own trim works he has to do. We have an entire 2 stall garage filled with stuff that needs to back down there. Needless to say, I am freaking out. I keep reminding myself to take deep breathes, and its not really working at all.
The Basement Remodel: Flooring

I couldn’t wait. I snuck downstairs while the guys were on break and took some pictures of the flooring that we are getting put in. Right now, it doesn’t have any of the grout, but I think it sure does look nice. I am still worried if they are going to be finished tomorrow, but I guess I just have to be patient. The plan is to start moving the furniture in the garage back into the basement this weekend and leave the teak outdoor furniture in there till the party.
Will’s First Birthday

Will’s first birthday is coming up next Saturday. I know, it is hard to believe that he is going to be one already! Time sure flies fast. With everything that is going on with the basement, it has been a zoo at my house. The thing Bill and I are struggling with (besides whether the basement is going to get done in time) is what do we get Will for his birthday. Madison thinks we should get him this Lagoon Pool that I posted a picture of. I think he is a tad too young even though it’s on sale over at Buy.com (though I am sure she wouldn’t mind having it). Most of the big stuff we already own, so we are seriously at a loss on what to get him. I don’t want to spend an arm and a leg, so please let me know any ideas you guys may have! We already own a swing set, an easel, a basketball hoop, a house, a sandbox, toyboxes, at least 100 books, riding toys, and blocks. I bought some sand toys for Madison to give him, but that is it. Can you see why this is an issue? I only have a week to figure something out! Help!

Everything is coming together quite nicely. I think they are finally done mudding the walls. After I took these pictures yesterday, they started the floor. One of the guys is outside right now painting all the doors too. I’m not sure if they will really be done tomorrow or not (which makes me a tad nervous).
