Summer Hair Part II

Sunday, June 29th, 2008

After cutting my hair, I had to decide what to do with Madison’s hair.  She has super fine hair, and it does not stay pulled back with a ponytail.  It just generally didn’t look good most of the time.  With having Kiddie Camp 2 days a week and soccer one, we had to do something.  We had a talk and we decided to cut hers too!  She was such a big girl.  If you don’t remember what it looked like before (because like me you need a dell memory chip in your brain), here is a before picture:

I think we cut off about 4 inches and here’s what it looks like now:

She loves it.  I love it.  Everybody is happy.

Anybody else cut their hair for the summer?

Summer Hair

Sunday, June 29th, 2008

All the girls know what I am talking about, right?  Nothing is worse than when it is super hot out and your hair is clinging to you.  It is just gross feeling.  Something I have been meaning to do for a long time is cut my hair.

Now, this picture was taken in April, and it is the best one I could find showing how long my hair was. I was at the point that it just didn’t look good anymore. I was always putting it up in a pony tail, and I was just sick of long hair. With summer right here now, I decided it was time for a change. Want to know the easiest way to learn how to lose weight? Cut about six inches off your hair.

Can you see the difference?  My head feels lighter, my showers take half the time as they did before, and I love it!  I haven’t had shorter in hair in forever, and it is great.  Granted, this picture was taken after sitting in the car for 4 hours driving home from Green Bay, so it doesn’t look the greatest, but you can see the difference.

So what do you think?

Swimming

We went to my inlaws last night to see how Will and Madison were going to do in the pool. This year we decided to give Madison water wings, and she did awesome! To be honest, she did 100 times better than I thought she would. Will wasn’t thrilled with being in the water, but did stay in for quite a while. I was happy that Bill had it handled and I didn’t have to get into my suit.  We have a party to go to on Saturday, so I’m glad to know the kids will be comfortable playing in their pool.

What I like to see

Thursday, June 26th, 2008

This is one of those pictures I like to see. Watching your kids sleep is one the most peaceful things to do.  It took a while to get to this point though.  First, he cried.  Then he was sitting in there singing and talking to himself for at least 15 minutes.  Unfortunately, as soon as I snapped this, he woke up.

Free Pizza?

Thursday, June 26th, 2008

Who doesn’t want free pizza?  If you don’t, well then you must be a little weird, since I (and my family for that matter) would love to win a free pizza a week for a year!  Sounds to good to be true?  Well, it is not.

Ristorante Pizza’s are offering this awesome Ristorante Contest that you can win a free pizza a week for a year. This contest ends tomorrow. However, you can enter once a day, so you can enter today and tomorrow and get 2 entries! It does not cost you anything to enter, so you really have nothing to lose and pizza to gain!

Some other cool things this site has is a store locator, so you can find the closest dealer that carries this awesome pizza. You can also sign up for the “12 Minutes to Romance” newsletter which will help you get the right vibe, food and drinks for an evening in.  They also have deals and promotions listed which of course is my favorite.  Who doesn’t like saving a couple of bucks!

Needless to say, you definitely need to check this contest and this site out.  However, I recommend that you don’t do it hungry (or maybe you should!) or you will be running out to get some of these pizzas to eat!
