After spending Saturday with two 4 year olds and two one year olds, I often felt like I needed some interpreter services. Trying to figure out what the one year olds were trying to tell us was like pulling teeth. Unfortunately, there is no such thing for toddlers. However, on a more serious note, this would actually be a pretty cool profession. My two years of Spanish in high school wouldn’t cut it in this line of work (since at this point, I think Madison knows more Spanish than I do from watching Dora and Diego!). However, my sister has a friend who is fluent in Spanish who would be great as a transaltor. Her husband is from Guatamola, and when he doesn’t understand what we are saying, she translates for him. I didn’t realize it, but there is all different kinds of translators too. There is medical, legal, telephone, technical — just to name a few. I didn’t realize there was so much you could do with this professional. I should have studied a little harder in high school.

Getting my affairs in order
Author: LisaJun 23
With my aunt dying a reading about a fellow’s bloggers sister-in-laws husband dying (ironically both of lung cancer), it really makes me think about getting my own affairs in order. Otherwise, my family may have to use an inheritance advance place to make sure they have enough money on hand to cover my funeral expenses (they may still have to use it anyway). Funerals are so very expensive nowadays. Between the casket, the plot, and the headstone, you can easily spend $15,000 - $30,000. Plus, these businesses want their money right away — not when the life insurance kicks in (yes, I have a life insurance policy). When my aunt died, she was cremated. Her thoughts were that why should they spend all that money on a casket. I’m torn — I am not sure which way I’d prefer myself. However, there are a couple of songs that I would prefer to be played — Amazing Grace, On Eagles Wings, and In The Garden.
The Weekend

We had a great weekend. We went up to Green Bay. Bill went camping with my dad, uncles, and cousins for a guy weekend. The kids and I stayed with my mom. We took the kids to Bay Beach on Saturday, and Madison had a blast. My plan is to get some pictures posted up a little later. Madison was so disappointed that we couldn’t go back again this weekend (we have some parties to go to and Bill’s parents are coming back from 2 weeks in Hawaii).
How was your weekend?
Credit cards

You all know how much I love my credit cards. I am terrible with cash, so at least with the credit card, I know what I am spending. For me, its very important to be able to compare credit cards and have a
credit card rating system for yourself. Credit Card Club makes this super easy to do. I love a site that gives me all the credit cards that are out there so I can compare them against one another and decide what works best for me. For example, we don’t really fly all that often, so a credit card that allows me to earn miles is pretty much worthless to me. My favorite credit card bonus has to be cash back. Who can’t use cash? Another big thing for me is that the credit card cannot have an annual fee. Why should I pay the credit card company to take my money? If you are carry a balance, you really need to be looking at cards that have low interest rates. You really have to decide for yourself what you need for your situation. Make a list, check it twice, and figure out which credit cards are naughty or nice.
