Why it takes so long to put anything together here

Monday, August 25th, 2008

These photos have been sitting on my camera for about a month since I forgot to download them. This is why Bill loves having the kids help him put things together.  This is a wardrobe unit that I bought for Will’s bedroom.  Will has no closet, so we definitely needed something to help organize his clothes.  His room is only 9′x11′ also so it couldn’t be too big either!  Let’s  just say that it took a while with his helpers to assemble this.  However, I love it!

Thank you Lori!

For as crappy of a day I thought I was going to have with the CPU crap again, I just saw on Twitter a very surprising note.  I won a Zivo Boom Wireless Headset worth $140!  The funny thing is that I didn’t enter this for me — I entered it for my hubby since he puts me in heart failure when he attempts to talk on the phone and drive at the same time.  Plus, in Chicago, it is illegal to talk on your cell phone and drive!  This will come in very handy for him!  He’s golfing right now (I know, must be nice) and I know he’ll be super excited when he comes home tonight!

Just another manic monday

I still have access to the backend of my sites!  And I have had no errors yet today!  However, my glee was short lived when I checked my CPU error log and found that my sites went down again.  Can I scream?

I am wondering from those who have changed hosts — how difficult is it to do?  What do I need to do to transfer the files over?  I will have to move 7 blogs, so how much time will this take?

Any thoughts?

Bluehost Update

Monday, August 25th, 2008

I have many comments wondering what happened.  Well, I haven’t posted what happened since I lost all access to the back end of my blogs.  You may have noticed that I haven’t update — That’s why!!!!  I found this as frustrating as when I was pregnant and I couldn’t figure out how to get rid of acne!  Anybody who follows me on twitter knows I was in tears Thursday night.  That’s how bad it got.  I had to leave for a wedding up in Green Bay on Friday (see previous post), so I spent my morning on the phone with them, and I still did not have access before I left.  I spent this afternoon on the phone with Bluehost again, and I am still having SQL errors!  I had a friend’s husband offer to help, and I think we have solved most of the issues with this blog.  However, I am now getting errors on some of my other blogs now.  Soooo, I still haven’t decided what exactly I should do.  I’m ready to pull my hair out.  I’ll take any advice anyone has at this point!  Should I stay with Bluehost or should I begin looking elsewhere?  (oh and the ticket I submitted Wednesday still hasn’t been answered!)

Kids In Church

Monday, August 25th, 2008

My cousin got married over the weekend, and since the wedding wasn’t actually in Green Bay, we had to bring the kids to church. Normally, this is something we tried to avoid if at all possible  However, I was ready and prepared.  I had several bags of snacks to keep they occupied as well as many toys.

I thought all was going well till Madison asked me about the sanctuary.  When you walked into church, there was a baptsim sanctuary on the floor.  It had steps.  Madison wanted to know why there were steps and if it was so she could go in there.  Needless to say, I was worried the rest of the ceremony if she going to try to make a run for it and try to go in there.  Next, we were waiting for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to walk in.  There was no music playing and the church was silent.  Will, of course, decides to start talking loudly.  I was almost ready to get my passport and leave the country, because I thought I was going to die of embarrassment. Lastly, Will decided to burp quite loudly during the mass.  I don’t think the whole church could hear it, but it sure seemed like it.  Remind me again, why should I bring my kids to church?
