Illinois Governor Arrested

Only in Illinois, does your governor try to sell a Senate seat. What makes this all the more crazy is that he already was being investigated for other pay-to-play schemes, so how stupid do you have to be? According to the statement from the FBI, Blagojevich is alleged to have discussed obtaining:

a substantial salary for himself at either a non-profit foundation or an organization affiliated with labor unions;

a spot for his wife on paid corporate boards, where he speculated she might garner as much as $150,000 a year;

promises of campaign funds — including cash up front;

a Cabinet post or ambassadorship for himself.

We will have to see how this plays out, but in the meantime, who is in charge of Illinois?

Pathetic. This is why we are stuck in the position we are in now. We need a revolution to give gov’t back to the people. Ron Paul is right!
