I totally understand what you mean. I recently decided to paint the walls of one of the rooms in my house. What I estimated to be a one hour job took me more than 3 hours to complete. Such as the coats of paint in your case. Whenever, I plan a project I always add at least a day to them. Something always seems to arise in my life to delay the home improvement project that I am working on. Hope all the hard work led to a beautiful new room. Post pictures when you can!
