Slow and Steady Wins The Race – #NSNation Update Week 31

Since I started my weight loss journey in January, I knew I was in this for the long haul. I have often talked about changing your mindset to take on a journey like this and that as long as you aren’t gaining, you are ahead. Unlike fad diets, Nutrisystem isn’t going to have you lose 100 pounds in a month. Instead, they want you to lose it slowly and steady. Hence, this weeks post title – Slow And Steady Wins The Race.

Last week till now, I didn’t lose anything. Amazingly, I am not letting it get me down. I know I am losing inches. I know that I have kicked butt to this point. I also know I need to work harder this week. I also know that 3 weeks ago, I lost nothing, and that last 2 weeks, I lost over 2 lbs a week.

I never thought I’d make it to 50 lbs when I started. I didn’t have faith in myself. However, with the help of Nutrisystem and all of you in my support system, I’ve done it! I know we all have weeks like this and I won’t let it get me down!

(Since I’m turning lemons into lemonade right now, I’m going to use that my fridge died as part of my exercise routine this week. We had to empty out the fridge last night and put everything in the fridge downstairs. Now, if we need anything, I have to run up and down stairs. That can only help, right? LOL)

    Wow you're doing great! Losing weight is good, but don't get hung up on how many pounds you lose or gain. Muscle weighs more then fat so as you gain muscle and lose fat the scales often discourage people. Think more in the terms of how your clothes fit and it's an awesome feeling when you put on your usual jeans and they are loose! Keep up the good work!

  3. Keep up the great work! I lost 9 lbs and then on week two I gained 2 back and didn't cheat once. I'm a little bummed and unsure why since I am working out and drinking only water. But I know that it will take dedication and patience so I am sticking to it.
