Anybody looking for Kids Clothes? With Back To School right around the corner, moms everywhere are worried about Kids Fashion. If you aren’t worried about Kids Style, then your kids probably wear School Uniforms like mine. Here is what my kids have to wear:
To be honest, I don’t mind my kids wearing school uniforms. It makes it a tad easier every day when you don’t have to think about what your kids have to wear. I only have to keep on top of my laundry instead. The only bad thing about school uniforms is the upfront cost. However, I have found a site (Cookies Kids) that has come to rescue. The only thing I couldn’t find uniform wise on the site was Madison’s jumper. However, everything else for both kids were on there. I was able to shop for socks, tights, shirts, pants, and even sweaters. Cookie’s prices were phenomenal. The cheapest I’ve seen anywhere (and I am cheapskate. I also know exactly how much these uniform items cost anywhere else.)
The funny thing is that the item I am most excited about are the tights.
$2.99 is a steal! Literally! I normally get stuck buying Madison white tights. If you know Madison, white is not her color. She usually wears them once and manages to get them dirty, and I can’t get them clean. You can only imagine how excited I was when I realized I could get her tights in navy. I swear its the little things in life that get me super excited.
I also ordered Madison a new sweater. Her school is old and drafty. She usually ends up wearing a sweater all winter. I normally end up paying around $26 for this sweater.
See that sweater? It was over 50% cheaper than what I normally pay, and it is pretty much the same sweater. Next year, Madison has already requested a sweater with pockets, and with Cookies Kids that is so doable!
Have no fear though – I didn’t leave Will out of this shopping bonanza. I was set for him with short sleeve polos. However, like I said above, the school gets drafty. I want a few options for him. He will also be using a hand me down sweater from Madison, so I didn’t need that for him. Instead, I got him a long sleeve polo shirt.
As you can see, he looks handsome, and we love the shirt. It also was a pretty true to size. I’m regretting that I ordered him a 6 instead of a 7! However, it does fit him perfectly, and I won’t have to break the bank if he outgrows this before the end of winter.
I am very happy with our back to school purchase with Cookies Kids. I saved a lot of money, shipping took no time at all, and I am very happy with the products we got. What more can you ask for? I also love the history of this place:
In 1972, a young man named Cookie and his brother Marvin went into business together. They rented a 1600 square foot store in Jamaica, Queens, fixed it up, bought inventory and Summer and Fall, and opened a day after Thanksgiving with a full stock of holiday toys. The toys were a success and they put the extra money toward buying children’s clothing for the next season. When that did well, they bought more clothing. The business was on it’s way.
As the brothers Cookie, Marvin and Sonny, who had come in as a third partner in the business, began to open new stores in new locations, inventory expanded. Besides the latest fashions, our customers wanted shoes, toys, backpacks and accessories and we were prepared to deliver.
By the late 1990’s there were six superstores throughout the NYC area, and though they previously had different names, by that time they were all named Cookie’s Kids. Also in the late ’90s came an important addition to Cookie’s Kids’ inventory: school uniforms. It was the steady success in uniform sales that paved the way for founding CookiesKids.com in 2007, which originally sold uniforms and soon after the entire Cookie’s Kids Inventory.
Where are you getting your back to school clothes? Do your kids wear uniforms or regular clothes? How much do you think you spend on school clothes?
