Sea Dog Cruise

It may surprise you to know that I don’t have a lot of worldly experience. That is why when I recently got the opportunity to take a Sea Dog Cruise, I was all over it. Best of all, I got to take it with some of my best blogger friends (which also made it extra fun due to all the laughing we did).

That is what our boat looked like. This is our tour guide:

His name was Jake. Like Jake from State Farm. (One of us may have asked him what he was wearing and he may have responded Khakis and they’re hideous. I won’t admit if that really happened.) He was really nice (and nice looking too!). He was very knowledgeable about Chicago, and he totally engaged the entire boat with his banter.

The first 30 minutes of the cruise we went slowly along the lake so that we could mingle and catch up with friends and take pictures. I was able to catch this picture then:

We then got a short sped boat demonstration. After that, we parked on the lake and enjoyed the spectacular fireworks display:

I would definitely do a Sea Dog Cruise again. It was awesome!

Looks like fun! I remember taking a field trip to Chicago when I was in 8th grade and taking a boat tour and how cool it was! I’d love to try it again with my kids!

I’m scared of the idea of being on the water (and used to love go boating as a kid), I’d love to go on a cruise someday. However, my husband refuses to take a cruise with me (he hates the idea of being on water, too) – le sigh. ~lol~
