And A Bra Changes Everything – – #NSNation Update Week 38 #samp

As you all know, I've struggled with my weight loss. I can't see it. I've been very down on myself. Then something happened this week. I went shopping.

Let me start off be stating I own 2 bras. With my size changing and bras being expensive, I only buy 2 at a time now. Well, I lost a bra. I couldn't find it anywhere, so I decided to go shopping. Now, when I started Nutrisystem I was a 44 DD. (Yes, the girls are big. LOL). Then along the way, they got bigger and I went to a 38 F. Then I went to a 38 DD. Now, I went to Kohls this week (to pay my bill) and looked at what they had there. It was in the dressing room at Kohls where I had my light bulb moment. After trying on a zillion bras, I found one (36 DD!) that fit me well. The funny thing is that it isn't a bra I would normally pick. I usually stick to ugly monocolor bras. Instead, this one is leopard print and the only reason I tried it on was because I couldn't find this style in a black bra. (They did have it in white.) When I tried on that bra, I, for some reason, had a new found confidence I didn't have before. I just knew it looked good on me. It makes me feel good. It makes me feel sexy. And in that moment everything changed.

This last week or so I've felt like I hit a plateau, so I am changing things up again. Starting on Saturday (and if you follow me on Facebook you'll know this already), I am doing Jillian Michaels 30 day Shred. My goal is to get a little more toned and work on the areas that I don't like about my body (which is basically the stomach area. What mom doesn't say that?). Why am I telling you all this? It keeps me accountable. It forces me to do it even when I don't want to, because I have to report to you my progress. My only fear is that the muscle I may add won't translate into weight loss. However, I'm taking measurements, so I'll see it there instead (I hope!).

I'm on Day 3 this morning. I didn't lose any weight again. (sigh). BUT I'm seeing a lose in measurements (which is just as important, right?). I lost an inch in my waist, an inch on my thighs, and an inch in my hips. I'll take that! (The weird thing is that I noticed when I worked out this morning that my underwear was big). I'll be honest — I don't see the difference on my body, but the measuring tape doesn't lie!

Here's hoping to either losing more inches or more some more pounds next week!
