Continued from The BlogWorld Expo Adventures: Really Unexpected Surprises
So, Mr. Fab and I decided to grab some food at the conference center. I was really craving a pepperoni pizza, but to my disappointment, they didn't have any. So, I settled for a cheese pizza instead. And then, the unexpected happened. As I was about to save Mr. Fab's phone number in my phone, I realized it wasn't there! (Cue a mini freak-out moment.) Thankfully, we were sitting at a booth, so I took a quick glance at my phone to check the time before we headed for lunch. I figured my phone couldn't have gone too far.
While I was emptying out my computer bag, Mr. Fab retraced our steps back to where we bought lunch, hoping to find the missing phone. We kept calling it, hoping it would turn up. Eventually, Fab came back with no luck. Feeling a bit panicky, I retraced my steps to the last booth we were at. Still no phone. I was really trying to keep calm at this point. After calling my phone countless times, a miracle happened – someone answered! Turns out, it was at the place we bought lunch from! What a relief! If I weren't married, I might have planted a kiss on Mr. Fab right then and there. My phone might not see much use, but it stores all the essential numbers I need, especially for staying in touch with fellow bloggers in Vegas.
Once we finished our meals, my plan was to check in at my hotel. Mr. Fab, on the other hand, was thinking about heading back for a nap (at least, I think so).
But here's where things took a detour. Instead of going to the hotel, I attended the sessions I had signed up for. In hindsight, going to the hotel might have been a better idea. The sessions didn't quite meet my expectations. The first one turned out to be a bit dull, so I wrote several blog posts, checked my email, and browsed some forums I'm a part of to pass the time. Thank goodness for free WiFi.
The second session was just as disappointing. The speaker mainly promoted his company, which most people can't join. Total waste of time. I decided to leave early and find a bathroom instead. Next, I went to the Izea booth, hoping to catch Ted – and I did. Ted's quite the character, a bit eccentric. Some might even suggest he needs rehab for drugs or alcohol, but honestly, he reminds me of an enthusiastic 5-year-old. His energy is infectious.
Not long after meeting Ted, it was time to check in to my hotel finally.
