The Boxtrolls Doing Good Deeds!

The Boxtrolls is a family event movie from the creators of “Coraline” and “ParaNorman” that introduces audiences to a new breed of family. The Boxtrolls are a community of quirky, mischievous creatures who have lovingly raised an orphaned human boy named Eggs in the amazing cavernous home (aff) they’ve built beneath the streets of Cheesebridge. When the town’s villain, Archibald Snatcher (Academy Award winner Ben Kingsley), comes up with a plot to get rid of the Boxtrolls, Eggs decides to venture above ground, “into the light,” where he meets and teams up with fabulously feisty Winnifred. Together, they devise a daring plan to save Eggs’ family. I know I can't wait to see this movie. Best of all, the Boxtrolls are doing good in our world.

The mission of the Imagination Foundation is to find, foster and fund creativity and entrepreneurship in children around the world. They are sponsoring a Boxtrolls Cardboard Challenge, where kids can create and build crafts inspired by the movie, using cardboard boxes as the main resource – just like the Boxtrolls themselves do. This weekend, in select cities, there will be special cardboard challenges taking place in celebration of The Boxtrolls arriving in theaters on 9/26!
