#GELighting Room Makeover #cbias

I have a huge kitchen. However, I hate my cupboards, I hate the flooring, and hate my counters. I do love the color we painted it when we moved in. Now, how do you makeover a room like this? Well, let me show you what I'm working with —

Yes, if you look closely, you will see that we have different light bulbs in each outlet for the fan. It gives my kitchen a strobe light effect that I can't stand. I also can never remember what bulbs I actually have in the fan which is exactly how I have the effect I have. It was not too hard for me to decide what room I was going to makeover when I was asked to work with GE. As part of my partnership with GE, I received coupons for my GE light bulbs. All opinions posted about my GE Lighting experience are my own.

Since we have had a ton of bad luck in January, I don't have a ton of money to makeover any of our rooms. However, my kitchen was in dire need of some work. With a little bit of money (less than $100!) and a few supplies, we were able to make my kitchen a heck of a lot more inviting and warm! Here's what my shopping trip looked like:

Now, what impressed me most about the GE Reveal lights is that I don't have to remember what color I need. They just give off a great white light (so my kitchen no longer has hues of yellow!). I found it warm and inviting. Bill even noticed a difference (and he never notices anything!).

Can you see the difference?

Now with a few supplies and the great lighting, I was able to make our kitchen so much more inviting:

I love that it told me right on the packaging how much I'm going to save with these bulbs. Not only do they look great, I'm going to save about $200 over the life of these bulbs!

I love that we were able to redo my kitchen for less than $100. That's cheaper than paint, new cabinets, and new counter tops. The difference is very noticeable. Want to do the same in your home (aff)? check out GE Lighting on Facebook or Twitter!
