I totally love Chick-fil-A. Seriously, I totally do. They have some of the best chicken around, and even though Bill and I are on a diet right now, it is one of the few places we can still eat out at (we are both on very restrictive clean eating diet for those wondering). Basically, we can't have anything with breading which means chicken, and Chick-fil-Adoes chicken the best. I was totally excited, because we didn't have to have order ourselves something boring (like just a chicken breast like we have to do a lot of other places). We both ordered the Grilled Market Salad.
Doesn't that look absolutely delicious?!? Want to know the best part of their salads? You can order them any way you want! We can't have nuts or dairy (so that means no cheese), and they were able to make the salad exactly the way we wanted. And seriously, fruit on a salad! I never would have thought to do that. Utterly, divine. (yes, pun intended there)
Okay, now that you know all about my love affair withChick-fil-A, you have to go to Chick-fil-A on July 11th for Cow Appreciation Day. Yes, I am serious! For cows, July 11th is the most important day. It is a day to celebrate all things bovine and you get can a free meal at Chick-fil-A. All you have to do is go to your local Chick-fil-A fully dressed like a cow, and Chick-fil-A will give you one free meal (breakfast, lunch, or dinner). Obviously, I am getting another salad. 🙂 I know, you are asking what is considered a fully dressed cow. Well, it means you've put some effort into your costume and try to be dressed from head to toe. If you are only wearing “partial cow attire”, you will then be awarded one entree.
Need some ideas? Here are a few:
- Visit www.cowappreciationday.com and you'll find all sorts of costume ideas as well as cow accessories you can print out!
- Look around the house. You may have some cow printed attire like scarves and hats that may work.
- Wear a white t-shirt and just add spots!
- Not too creative? Google “cow costume” and just buy one!
Will you be heading out toChick-fil-A on Cow Appreciation Day? Hope to see you there! (And what do you plan on ordering?)
Sounds like fun!
My kids are creating their costumes as we speak!!
Yummmmo! That looks so good. I crave salad sometimes!
We love Chick-fil-a. I usually get their chicken strips but those salads look really good!
You can get chicken strips on a salad!
We love Chickfila. Their grilled chicken is the best of any fast food restaurant. Awesome that they customized the salad for you.

I wish I could! Our restaurant is under construction, but I’ll be there when it opens back up.

Man, I love Chick-Fil-A but I don’t know enough to dress up fully like a cow and walk around Chicago. The El drive alone would be horrible.
That salads looks amazing!
That grilled salad looks so good. Don’t have one near us but wish we did .
I wish we had a Chick – Fil – A around here. I finally got to try it in February when we were visiting FL!
I wish we had a Chick Fil A in my neck of the woods!
Chick Fil A was the only thing I could eat when I was in my first trimester of pregnancy. They never let me down, until this day. Love love love these salads!
