What is your hair nightmare? I mean, seriously, I live in Chicago, so hat head seems to be something that we are all having an issue with. 🙂 Ok, much more seriously, I have several hair issues. First, since being diagnosed with Hashimotos, my hair has been thinning (however, now that I am on medicine that seems to be slowing down). Other issues I have are frizziness (is that even a word?). I end up having to flat iron it straight. However, I don't have curls just a small wave. It is annoying. Plus, with the coldness here, everything is soo staticy including our hair. Oh yes, and dry hair. I also hate my hair color (but everybody asks me my color so they can dye it. Umm, its natural auburn). I've tried adding a “ginger” red to it, but it didn't last very long. Also, when I curl it doesn't stick! Seriously, how do I make it through a day when my hair has so many issues! LOL
Dove Hair and Walmart have teamed up together to help us tackle some of a mom’s biggest hair challenges including getting curls without a curling iron, making color last and more. You can check out these videos on how to fix common hair issues and order easily online.
So tell me — what are your hair issues?
I have VERY naturally curly hair and I get keratin treatments at the salon to make it go away. I can’t use Dove because I have to use a special shampoo for the keratin. I use many other Dove products, though.
I too have very thin, fine hair and usually just pull it all up in a bun because it’s such a pain. I’m not one to use tons of products or time on my hair..it needs to be easy. I’m going to speak with my doctor about Hashimotos though! Thanks for the info!
I like Dove products – I have very coarse curly hair. I shampoo – condition – Argan Oil – leave in conditioner – gel to control the curls. I am heading to WalMart today – I will check out the display.
my biggest right now is that for 39 years, my hair was straight. hung straight. perms never did want to take.
now, after having 3 kids? i cut 8 inches off and i have curly hair. its so odd.
I almost never get my haircut. It seems we always have time for the kids and husband…and then a meltdown begins. My problem is that I just need a style! 🙂
I’m with you on the static-y hair (it drives me bonkers). I’m always looking for new tips on caring for my hair. Thanks.
I have one daughter that has fly away hair, and one daughter that has curly dry hair. The one with fly away hair always gets static-y and it drives me batty.
We have waves, curls, and straight hair in my house. All three of us girls have very different hair types, but we do like that Dove is very gentle on our sensitive scalps.
It is super dry here, so static hair is always an issue. My daughter hates brushing her hair out but so far has refused to let me cut it – this is also a nightmare. And… I treated myself to a super nice, rather pricey bottle of rose shampoo last week only to have my two youngest pour it all out into the bath. Shampoo nightmare… and lesson learned!
My hair issue is that I wish I had more time to get my hair cut or styled. I usually just put it in a ponytail and go LOL
when mine goes flat!
my color does not last
I have not worried about my hair since I was young and had “big” hair. I should take more care. Thanks for a great article.
I have very fine hair. Such a pain.
Florida humidity.
My hair is extremely curly and natural. I often get it blown out and flat ironed and wear it straight. That can last for up to one week if I take good care of it. In the summer I mostly go with the curly look.
I have a really long hair, hope there will not come a day where I will have to cut because it is falling so much I can’t keep it the way I like!
My major hair issue is that I do not know how to style hair. I would like some tutoring on that!
My main hair issue is that my hair can be a little dry. Sometimes its hard to deal with. I also have no styling skills when it comes to my hair!
My only hair issue is ME not wanting to fix it!
My hair is a battle but I am conquering it. I love to learn new ways of managing my hair..
That’s funny I think most women wished they could change their hair, my hair is so thick and I would love to trade it with someone who has thin hair. Everyone tells me it’s pretty but I hate it! LOL!
Mine is so darn thick that’s it hard to work with. I like it sometimes….
I have very thick hair that can get very dry as well. I use Nexxus for my hair care needs but have been thinking of switching to something else. I may give Dove a try and see if it works for me.
My hair is short and straight. It’s too crazy to keep up with sometimes!
Dove products are known to be mild and gentle yet effective. I’ve heard some good thing about Dove hair products so I think I should try them too. I would love to see some great results on my hair.
To be honest, I used dove hair products for a while but it wasn’t nice to my scalp. But of course that’s only one person and we are all different.
My hair is so difficult that I only used professional products. Although, Dove does make good shampoo too!
I’m about to do some major hair makeover with highlights, and a new cut. I cant wait for the warmer weather because that is when I plan on doing it. Im sick of the mom hair!
Ugh, I live in Chicago too and in the winter we all suffer from static hair. I can’t keep my hair down at all because of it. Blah.
