Handmade for the Holidays

My kids are still pretty little to be making handmade gifts for the holidays. I do remember doing it for my parents though. I wonder (aff) if my parents appreciated all my hard work or not. I am just kidding. I know they do since I appreciated all the hard work that Madison put into this handmade ornament she made at school for Christmas last year:

When we decorated the Christmas tree, we definitely put it up. I made sure I saved it so we could put it on the tree this year. I have a special gift the kids are working on for the grandma's for Christmas this year. All I can tell you is that it will require some art skills. I don't want to give away much more than that.

What handmade gifts have you received or have you given?

Oh, I think that every child should make an ornament for the tree and get it out for all the years to come. We all have them in our family and I love them.

We made painted pots, greeting cards – it was always so appreciated

Those turned out really well!! We did handpainted ceramic ornaments one year (trust me, they sound prettier than what they actually were with a team of boys) and last year made homemade candies to give away.

This year? We might just do something simple – lol – it was a lot of work!

I liked the one on which you've engraved a baby girl's photo. And I intend to make one for my younger sis on her up coming birthday 😛

    Pretty nice gifts.

I believe in some two years my girl will do that kind of gifts. For the moment she gives me "the whales" (something oval drawn on a piece of paper)…
