Mars Needs Moms Review

Coming to Earth on Blu-ray™ Combo Pack with 3D, DVD,Movie Download & On-Demand August 9, 2011 is Mars Needs Moms. Nine-year-old Milo (Seth Green) finds out how much he needs his mom (Joan Cusack) when she's nabbed by Martians who plan to steal her mom-ness for their own young. In a race against time and oxygen, his quest to save her knows no bounds. And with some unexpected help, Milo just might find his way back to her — in more ways than one.

Will was not a fan of this movie animation and found it scary (remember, he is 4). I think it looked too real for him. However, the rest of us loved it. Bill and I loved the story line. Madison liked how real it looked and a lot of the bonus features. Though I do have to warn you, there is a “bambi” moment at the end that may worry your kids. However, the movie does end so that everybody will be happy. (Trying not to give too much away!)

The Bonus Features included on the DVD are:

Blu-ray 3D:

Everything on the Blu-ray & DVD plus….

·Mom-Napping (All-new 3D Exclusive) –There’s more than meets the eye during the Martian abduction of Milo’s Mom. This alternate scene — completely finished in 3D — tells all.

My young one was put off by the animation too. It had this weird floating reality to it, and I don't know…but it was freaky.
