Meeting One Of My Minigoals – #NSNation Update – Week 29

I'm going to start off this week's post with a video about what I've accomplished:

One of my minigoals when I started Nutrisystem was to be able to shop for regular clothes. By that I mean, I wanted to walked into Kohls or Target and have something fit right off the rack. I didn't want to have to go to the plus size department or have to go to Lane Bryant (I do love Lane Bryant but the clothes are so expensive.). (Side note: Anybody know where I can get DDD cup bras where I can try them on in store? Right now, Lane Bryant is the only store I've found so far that carries that big of a cup size. What can I say? The girls are still big!). As I talked about in my video, I was able to buy size 14 pants people! 14! I also picked up two dress tops. I started with an XL and it fit. Then I tried on a L and it fit. I then tried on a M and it fit too. Now, the M wasn't as loose as the other ones, but it fit. I didn't attempt the S. This was in the Misses Department in Kohls. Needless to say, I was pretty excited.

I even told my mom that I don't remember the last time I fit into these sizes. She does. She said about 1997. (It is awesome that moms remember everything!). I've lost over 10 years of weight that I've put on. The best part of this is that I am finally able to see some changes. I can see what you all see!

With my dismal weight loss last week (well, surgery played into that), I am happy with my 2 (aff).2 (aff) lbs of weight loss this week.

Congratulations! That is so very exciting! I just started NS on Sunday and I am hoping for great results! On a side note, SOMETIMES you can find DDD bras at Ross. My biggest issue with Lane Bryant bras is that they assume if you are plus size, and wear a DDD that you will be enormous around. I wear a DDD 42 which isn't tiny but isn't the 50 ddd that is much much easier to find!

They will even tell you that. I'm down to a 38 DDD from a 44 DD (yes, I am the only one whose boobs get bigger with weight loss). They even told me the 36s and 38s are out the door as soon as they get them in.

I find that if you put constraints around yourself and your time, you will ALWAYS work better and achieve, congratulations.

  3. Wow! That is a great accomplishment. I'm proud of you. We can definitely see the changes. Go you! 😀
