MiMedia Giveaway!

disclosure

Are you like me and have your photos backed up in 12 different places? If so, you know what a pain in the butt it is to search through several different online libraries every time you need a picture. I literally have over 10,000 photos. Before MiMedia, I won't tell you how many places I was using to back them all up. Since we live in a digital time, it isn't like i have them printed out anywhere. If I lose my hard drive on my laptop, I've lost all my photos. (And I've lost a laptop to the blue screen of death. Thank God I had everything backed up!)

Now, I know you are wondering what MiMidea actually is. It honestly is the personal cloud you’ve always wanted. It's the digital home our memories deserve. Instead of using 20 different services, you can literally house all of your photos, videos, music and documents that you care most about in one awesome spot. You are able to access MiMedia on all devices (phone, tablet and web), iOS and Android. Your data is literally a fingertip away from you at all times. (There is nothing worse than when you go to show your friends a picture, and it is no longer on your phone or in your photostream!)

MiMedia is so easy to use. Start with the Desktop Application, which finds all your photos, videos, music and document in your desktop/laptop, and upload them to your MiMedia cloud. It’s the easiest way to get started. In addition, the one-click import from Facebook, Dropbox, Google+, Picasa, Flickr, and more. MiMedia helps organize, find, personalize and (re)discover your media from all different sources. I am going to warn you — if you are an Apple user like me, you need to leave the browser open (if you are on desktop) or app open (if on your iphone or ipad) for your photos to upload. Another amazingly cool feature is that won't upload duplicates of the same photo (as long as they both have the same name).

Best of all, MiMedia is also safe and secure. You are able to select what content is shared, and with whom, on an item-by-item basis, while safely keeping the rest of their files hidden away. MiMedia uses the highest level of encryption and security available on the market.
Sharing is also private – and easy – with MiMedia’s MiDrive. With the MiDrive you, your family and friends can collaborate in a truly private place; create and share amazing visual stories. Invite friends and family to access the MiDrive via email. Those who have access can upload their pictures and videos, chat amongst each other, which can be enjoyed on all devices (phone, tablet and web). All new customization tools allow you to create colorful titles within the MiDrive, add a map to showcase where each piece of content was created. It becomes your digital album amongst friends and family!

Now, all of this once set up happens automagically. I wouldn't ever remember to backup my stuff. I need programs like this that make my life easier.

All of this sounds totally great right? I know I totally love this service. It has totally fulfilled my storage needs. Since I love for all of you to be able to try out the great things I get to review, I have arranged for you all to get your own 10GB MiMedia account to try out the service (and really, once you see how great it is, you'll probably upgrade up. Unless you aren't like me. I only have around 10,000 photos.) All you need to do is use the code TheMotherhood (not case sensitive) when you sign up for MiMedia. By including this code, you will receive a free 10GB MiMedia account, special promotions and information on contests, as well as exclusive access to try new features through an opt-in program!

I have also arranged for one lucky winner to receive a FREE one year Basic 500GB MiMedia plan (valued at $85.00)! Here's what you need to do:

1. Leave a comment below letting me know that you signed up for MiMedia. Remember, use the code TheMotherhood and you will receive a free 10GB MiMedia account.

I have never heard of this before, I know we pay for storage in “the cloud” but we haven’t moved our photos anywhere else that I know of. I will have to take a peak!

MiMedia sounds great! I take a lot, I mean a LOT of photos using my iPhone or DSLR and without a doubt, I’ll be needing more storage eventually. Think this is what I need.

Who doesn’t like something for free? I am using MiMedia now and I was so content showing all my Coney Island Parade pictures to my fellow photography club members. They were impressed.

I’ve been considering paying for storage for all of my ebooks and important documents. This might be the one!

I love using this service! It really has helped me so much stay organized with my photos and keep everything in place.

  10. There is nothing that sends a chill up the spine of a digital entrepreneur faster than “the blue screen of death” – As a Lifestyle Blogger I definitely have a ton of photos, I would go nuts if I lost my travel photos! (We are both on a photography theme this summer with giveaways! I am running a $100 Gift Card to Shutterfly or Tiny Prints – winners choice!) 🙂
