Mother’s Day Is Right Around The Corner

Even though it sure doesn't feel like spring here in Chicago, it is definitely right around the corner. I'm watching my flowers along the fence slowly but surely come up even though it keeps on trying to snow here.

With spring almost here, that also means we have to start thinking about gifts for Mother's Day. To be honest, I start planning now already! I tend to be on the ball with gift giving and the best deals are to be had now. For me, you can't go wrong with jewelry or anything Thomas Kinkade. I am not all that picky. Bradford Exchange has a ton things to pick from jewelry to Disney themed things to even sports related. I love anything that my kids make or design for me too.

Are you shopping for Mother's Day already? What are some of your favorite gifts to give or to get for Mother's Day?

PS – Mother's Day is just around the corner — it is May 12th this year!

  1. Mother’s Day has always been a difficult one for me. I lost my mother to cancer when I was in high school and my husband lost his mother to a stroke in 2003. My birthday is close to Mother’s Day so honestly, it’s usually forgotten. Gee, what a buzz kill I am today? Sorry!

Wow May 12th? That IS right around the corner. My mom will actually be in the Bahamas for Mother’s Day and I am so thrilled she’s finally treated herself to a well needed vacation. I think I’ll give her some spending cash to purchase goodies for herself while on her trip or a gift card to get a new outfit to show off!

I haven’t been able to see my Mom on Mother’s Day since my son started school in 2007. It’s what I would love for Mother’s Day the most, too… to spend the day with her and my son (and hubby). 🙂

I can’t believe how quick it’s coming up! I don’t really need anything for Mother’s Day but not having to make dinner would be nice. Now for my mom- I never know what to get her!
