Packing

I am doing laundry right now and trying to figure out what I should pack for the Pampers Event. I only need a change of clothes and pajamas. I am still trying to figure out if I should pack some jewelry or not. My biggest struggle is whether or not I should check my luggage. Clothes wise, not an issue. However, I have lots of stuff that is over 3 (aff) oz like my hair gel. I don't want any of that to get thrown away on me. The other thing is that the airline they have me flying through charges for checked bags. Now, they will reimburse me for the checked bag, so I don't think that is too much of a big deal. Would you check a bag or just take a carryon on the plane?

I would buy small sample sizes of my fave products so that I could carry on. My mom used to travel a lot and the number of times her bags were lost, well, let's just say, she advised against checking bags if you could do it.
