Hello, winter! How much snow do you have in your area? We just had 29 hours of snow where I live! This is just a few hours into the snowfall. We ended up snowblowing3 (aff) times today.

On top of the snow, we also are getting blistering cold. With this cold weather, every is running to the grocery store for supplies. The next two days are going to be freezing cold (literally!). We are actually cold enough that they cancelled school for tomorrow. Our school never ever ever gets cancelled. I was shocked yet happy when they called school off. With our windchill going to be hovering around -50 degrees, I am gladly keeping my kids home (aff).

I also luck out, because we just bought a ton of food for Madison's birthday party for this weekend. However, I know you all aren't as lucky as me and need to run out for milk, bread, etc. That's why I am happy to tell you how to get $5 off your $50 bill at Jewel! Just register here and then you can print off your coupon!

How much snow did you get? How cold is it by you? What groceries do you need to run out and stock up?

Whew! Snow? I live in Florida and it’s been pretty cold, though today wasn’t that bad. Tomorrow however, it’s going to get down to 17 degrees. Now, that’s cold! Even more so, considering I’m in FLORIDA~

Love the picture by the way, very pretty!

We didn’t get much snow, but it is COLD today in Cincy! -5 degrees!

  3. Apennyfilledpantry

Wow! I thought it was cold here but it’s much colder where you are!! Stay warm!

  4. Karla Campos

It’s fairly warm here is South Florida today even though the locals say it’s cold. I am from NY and though the snow is beautiful I don’t miss the cold.

  5. Pam

Apparently the wind chill here is supposed to go down to minus 15. Thankfully, no snow.

We had just a light snow, but lots of rain and wind chill factors made the temperatures below -5 today and almost -11 on Tuesday 1/7. School is cancelled both days and my daughter won’t be returning to boarding school until Wednesday because I’m not taking her back until then. It’s too cold to travel when anything could happen on the road.

OMG, I can’t even imagine what you are experiencing! We’re “cold” in the desert with a high today of 67! I’m home watching the BCS championship game, with pjs and slippers. But I’m certainly not complaining!! And I promised the florists I know who are struggling with freezing flowers that I will never complain when we have to deliver in 110 degrees!

We’re in the Canadian Rockies, and 40 below temps are not uncommon. Still not a huge fan, though!

  9. Amy Desrosiers

We did get 13″, but then it got up to 45, and it all melted!!! Now we are back to square one and I kind of like it that way!

  10. Debi

We only had 6 inches luckily.

  11. trisha

Its about 20 right now, getting into the teens (Which is unheard of for us) and VERY BITTERLY cold

We had to run to Jewel on Saturday and it was starting to become a madhouse as we were checking out. Cashier kept apologizing. Good News, going to be 34 on Friday..Heat Wave!!

  13. Cynthia L

We have not had as much snow as you did, but it has been super cold. We used to live in WV and had about 4 or 5 foot of snow for about 4 months straight! I didn’t like to go out! I keep powdered milk in the pantry for emergencies! Hope it warms up soon.

  14. Just Us Four

We haven’t had much snow in a few days but our temperatures have dropped so much that schools are cancelled tomorrow.

  15. brett

oh, jewel is or used to be tied with shaws and i LOVED that store. love love love their organic and store brand stuff. miss it 🙁

  16. Stefani

No snow for us here in California where I live. It has been pretty darn cold though!

  17. Rhonda Yvsg

Thanks for the Jewell coupon! To answer your questions…They’ve nicknamed it Chi-Beria where we live. The temps are an arctic -30 degrees or worse and the snow was relentless last week. Schools were closed today and will remain closed tomorrow. Thankfully we are not out of food yet, the news forecast sufficiently scared us into the commissary to stock up last week. You stay warm now!

  18. Lexie Lane

Experiencing snow is a treat for us because we live in SoCal. I’ve never even heard of Jewell. Thankfully we don’t have those troubles. I’m sorry 🙁

  19. Jennifer B

No snow for me because I live in Florida which is the place to be right now! I remember those winters up north though and I don’t miss them.

  20. Amanda Love

We didn’t get a lot of snow but it is pretty cold here. Any savings is good savings for me.

  21. We got hit with crazy cold temperatures today {windchill is -10} so I am doing everything I can to keep our house warm but not break the bank with our heating bill.

  22. Janeane Davis

In addition to the snow, we are experiencing some of the coldest weather in almost 200 years. It is important to heat the home efficiently.

  23. Trice

Im in Dallas no snow… Thank God. Its very cold and windy i hate this weather.

  24. The weather in NY has been nuts. It was 40+ degrees 2 days ago and all the snow mostly melted, within 6 hours it dropped to freezing and it’s currently 0 degrees (without windchill) and everything is coated in ice! We were supposed to get 2 feet of lake effect but it missed us. Times like this I’m so happy for cloth diapers and breastfeeding so we don’t have to go out for baby needs!

  25. Debbie Denny

Got snow and ice, Woke up to -14 the other day here in Oklahoma!

  26. Kristyn

no snow here but it has been very cold (at least to me!)
