As many of you know, I'm not a frilly girl. I don't often to spas, but when I do, it is divine. I love that we have some great spas in the south Chicago suburbs that allow me to relax without having to go into the city. I recently got to try out Southwest Laser and Medspa in Mokena, IL.
My treatment of choice for the day was the Organic Lemongrass Body Scrub with Massage. To be honest, I had no idea what to expect.
The staff at Southwest Laser and Medspa were absolutely divine. They were extremely nice and helpful. I was immediately taken in back for my Organic Lemongrass Body Scrub with Massage. The room was so calming.
The room screaming relax and forget the outside world. The body scrub entailed a salt being rubbed on you to get rid of all your dry skin. It was amazing. The best part of this room is that there is shower in here. I never would have guessed till she opened it! After she rubbed the salt over my entire body, I was able to take a shower and wash it off. I also had a great conversation with the lady doing this. She was really awesome and made me feel right at home. After that, the massage started. Pure bliss. I totally can see how you can fall asleep during it!
The most amazing part of my Organic Lemongrass Body Scrub with Massage is that my skin is still baby soft, and it has been almost a week. I am totally amazed how great the Organic Lemongrass Body Scrub with Massage is, and I totally want to have it done again. We've got a vacation coming up this summer that I'm definitely having this done again for!
I can only recommend the Southwest Laser and Medspa. I proud to say you don't have to drive into the city for a great spa treatment! With Spa Week right around the corner (from April 21-27), you too can enjoy this for $50! Seriously, it is worth every cent (and then some!)

Wow, AMAZING deal. I bet the best part was just the smell alone. I LOVE lemongrass and combining that with orange and you’ve got a home run. Oooh make me want to run out for one now!!

Sounds super relaxing. I love body scrubs for bath as much as I do with trying facial scrubs/exfoliants also.

This spa looks lovely. I really need a massage and I do want to treat myself also. I have had them in the past and it really helps sore muscles.
IT’s been WAY too long since I did anything like this for myself. Just looking at your photos is relaxing…I can only imagine how great I’d feel if I actually went!
