That Baby CD and DVD
That Baby DVD and That Baby CD is a collection that is a huge hit in my house. We had been listening to the same classical music for 4 years. We started that with Madison and just continued to use the same one for Will. However, we recently got ahold of That Baby CD and I love it. the songs are covers of songs by Bruce Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Marley, Natalie Merchant, and The Pretenders to just name a few, so as an adult, you will recognize them. However, they don’t change them for the kids so that you don’t recognize them. They don’t “over-kid” them. The CD along gets five stars from me. However, the DVD is just as good. I don’t mind watching it (it isn’t mind numbing as a lot of children’s DVDs can be). My kids love watching it. It even holds Will’s attention (somewhat — he’s only going to be one, so there isn’t much of an attention span there). The DVD is simple but very good.
If you are looking for a great gift to give, That Baby DVD and That Baby CD should top your list. I know I would have loved to receive this and I know a couple of moms would also would love this.
Getting Pictures
I had an appointment scheduled today to get Will’s pictures done, since he is turning 1 on Saturday. This time I got smart, and I made Bill come with. I learned several things. Normally, I take the kids myself. However, I didn’t think I could handle them both, and I was right. Honestly, this is one of the first times I have taken the kids for pictures, and I haven’t felt the need to look at flight deals afterwards or at least needed a drink. The kids were their normal trying selves, but just having another adult to help was great. Madison did really well. We actually got some good ones of her. Normally, she has this goofy grin when you tell her to smile. I ended up buying 6 poses, and we get them on the 13th.
Cold Central
I am so ticked that they took all the cold medicine for infants off the shelf. The reasoning is even dumber: parents were overdosing their kids. If they are overdosing on the infant stuff, what do you think is going to happen when childrens is only available. I heard that there talking about taking that off the shelf too. I have a sick kid here. He’s had a runny nose and coughing since last Wednesday. I am doing all the things I should be — vaporize, take him into the bathroom after I have made it a steambath, etc. I would just like to be able to make the kids comfortable, so he can sleep. As an adult, we take things for colds to make us less miserable. I don’t get why kids can’t.
