Bay Beach Pictures

Without further ado, here are some of the pictures we took on Saturday at Bay Beach.  For those of you who have never been to Green Bay, I guess the best way to describe Bay Beach is an amusement park.  It is has been there for years.  It is awesome because it  is so cheap.  When I was little, the tickets were ten cents for the rides.  Now, they are a quarter.  For the kiddie rides, they usually cost 1 ticket.  For the more adult rides, they tend to cost two tickets.  You can easily go there with your family for an entire morning and not spend $20!  The little girl we are with is my cousins daughter. Now, my sister couldn’t go with us since she had to attend a wedding instead. She did say that they gave away some pretty cool bridesmaid gifts. However, her husband was the one standing up, so they missed out on that. I think we spent about two hours at Bay Beach, and that was about the right amount of time. The kids weren’t crabby yet and still had tons of fun.

Fathers Day Ideas

With all the craziness in my life right now, I am still worried about what to get my dad and husband for Father’s Day. Since Bill didn’t get me anything for Mother’s Day, I am considering not getting him anything. LOL. On a more serious note, I’ve been checking out my most favorite website ever: Best Buy. As my long time readers know, my family and I could live at Best Buy for the amount of time we spend there. (I have a credit card bill from there that can prove it too!). I was searching for some ideas and have come up of a couple we could all use.

The first thing I liked was the Zune MP3 Player. This thing is awesome. It has 80 GB of space. You can get 20,000 songs or 25,000 pictures, or 250 hours of video. If you have this much to put on there, you really need to get out more. As you can tell, you can pretty much put your whole life on there. It only weighs 4.5 oz, so it is seriously lightweight. It supports MP3, WMA, secure WMA and AAC for audio formats, displays JPEG for image formats, and WMV, MPEG-4 and H.264 for video formats. Its built in battery always up to 30 hours of music playback and 4 hours photo and video playback per charge. I don’t know a dad who wouldn’t want this for Father’s Day. Heck, I’m a mom who wouldn’t mind getting one of these.

Another cool Father’s Day item would have to be this Insignia® – Sport Video MP3 Player with Bluetooth Technology and Fitness Bundle.  This would be great for anyone (not only dads!) that are into fitness.  You get both a both a sports arm band and a water bottle for use while you’re exercising.  Bill could even use this when he’s doing work on the house!  The MP3 player has 2 GB memory and a 1.7″ color LCD screen.  It also has a FM radio tuner.  One of the coolest features that it has is the ability to remember songs you hear by saving track/artist data from FM radio stations broadcasting RDS data.  The battery allows 25 hours of playback time too.

Both these items any father would love.  I am pretty sure I am getting Bill the sports video MP3 player (yes, I know he wants a plasma tv, but that’s just not going to happen this year!).  I could seriously go on for a while with all the great products that Best Buy has to choose from for Father’s Day.  What do you plan on buying for the “father” in your life?

Colic

How do you tell if your child has colic?  In doing research, I found that it isn’t considered colic if they cry less than 3 hours straight for more than 3 days a week.  However, Will does have these symptoms:  draws his legs to his belly, becomes red in the face, passes gas a lot, and has difficulty staying asleep.  The only way he sleeps for any amount of time is if we let him sleep on us.  However, he does not cry for 3 hours a night straight.  We are more at the hour mark.

Any thoughts?
