My Thoughts, Ideas, and Ramblings - A day in the life of a busy mom . . .

I know I have a few readers from Canada, so when I saw this contest I was excited (even though I was bummed that I can’t enter because I am in the US!). Would you like to Win a trip with iCoke.ca? The trip in question is for 4 to Atlanta, Georgia. You can also win gift certificates to Best Buy and Cineplex Odeon! This contest is to celebrate John Pemberton (that’s the guy who invented Coca-Cola!). So what’s the catch? You need 500 iCoke coins to enter. Now, if you are drinking Coke anyway, this isn’t a problem because for a limited time, you are able to get 1,000 Coins from PINs found on specially-marked 591mL bottles of Coca-Cola® products. PINs to get coins can also be found under the cap of all specially marked 591mL and 2L Coca-Cola® and Coke ZeroTM products. Each PIN is worth 500 iCoke Coins. If you don’t win the trip, they even have a contest on the site that you can design your own Coke bottle (I know what I am doing for the rest of the day!). If your bottle gets voted on the most, you could be the featured bottle on the site for the week! Either way, start buying Coke products and get yourself entered into this contest!

First, he says “No” now. I don’t think he knows what it means, but he does like to say it. The other big accomplishment is huge. I got him to drink from a sippy cup!!!!!!!!!!!! Why is this huge? This stubborn little boy would quit drinking out of his bottle when he would try to change his nipples on him. Needless to say, getting him off the bottle has been a challenge. Now, since we are heading off to Green Bay, I am going to back some bottle just in case, but I am super excited. I think we made progress!

However, it was a tad frustrating to watch him only take a step with his right foot and stop. We actually got him to take several steps in a row tonight!

I also think he’s getting another tooth! I think I saw and felt it. Its an upper one next to his front teeth.

Yesterday, I put a bottle in front of him and he said “Ba ba”.

I can’t believe how fast my little boy is growing up!

My Thoughts, Ideas, and Ramblings - A day in the life of a busy mom . . .

I have just started using Gloves In A Bottle to help battle the effects of a Chicago winter. Days like today (when with the wind chill it is below zero) are the very reason I need this new skincare item. The part I love about Gloves In A Bottle is that it does not wash off. With two little ones, I find myself constantly washing my hands. With other lotions, I was finding that I constantly was having to reapply for it to work. Well, I can’t spend my day applying lotion (mostly because I don’t remember). For maximum effectiveness, you just need to reapply Gloves In A Bottle every 4 hours. Well, I tend not even remember to do it that much, and I still have noticed a difference. I have also passed on a few sample packs of this to my cousin who is a nurse. She finds herself constantly washing her hands at work too. She lives over on the East Coast, so they have dry cold winters too. I also love that it isn’t greasy. I cannot stand lotion that leaves a mark on everything I touch after I apply it. It ranks up there pretty high on my list of pet peeves. Not only can you order this online, but it widely accessible in over 13,000 stores nationwide (if you hate to pay for shipping like me). You are also able to use this on other parts of your body, and it works just as good!
