Big Top Circus aka My House

Thursday, December 11th, 2008

Does your home feel like a circus too?  I know mine does.  There are many changes I am hoping to do in 2009 that will make it even less of a zoo here.  First, I am hoping to become more organized.  Right now, we have paperwork from one end of the house to the other.  Instead of just stacking it and then filing it when I am good and ready, my goal is to actually file it right away.  Then I don’t have to worry about losing it.  Next, I am hoping to save more.  This will be interesting and hard.  With Bill’s new car and possible school tutition for Madison, that may wipe us clean in a crappy economy.  However, we’ve made it this far. I already cut coupons and if need be, we will start cutting the extras like cable and my daily newspaper.  However, I am keeping my hopes and I think 2009 will be a great year!

What are your plans to make your life less of a circus in 2009?

I’ve been busy . . .

Saturday, December 6th, 2008

Which is why I haven’t been posting here too often.  This last week has been a long and trying week for us.  Nothing major has went wrong — just a ton of little things.  I took last weekend off, and I just never got back into the swing of things. The highlights of my week — Will getting diagnosed again with impetigo and we got new cable, satellite, and phone service.  I’ve got a ton of catching up to do, so I’ll be posting a tad later with the other events.

I love Sony!

Friday, October 17th, 2008

Seriously, I love Sony.  You all may remember that I received a Sony Cybershot camera in April.  However, when I went to Izeafest in September, my camera was dead.  I thought it was the battery.  However, it was not.  Instead, I ended up contacting Sony about getting it fixed.  All I can say is that their customer service team rocks.  They were able to send me a label, and I sent my camera back.  In a little less than two weeks, I had my camera back working good as new.  They also able to help me when I lost the cables that connect the camera to the computer.  Since my Cybershot saves to the hard drive first, I need this cable.  They were able to send me one. This kind of customer service makes me want to buy more products like a Sony Vaio the next time I have to buy a new laptop (which should be about a year since that is about as long as my laptops last).

Do you know of any companies out there that have given you excellent customer service?

Basement

Friday, March 28th, 2008

Well, the basement guy came today. We are now scheduled to have the drainage tile to be put in May 5th and May 6th. That will give us exactly a month to get the basement drywalled, wired, put a bathroom in, get the heat working, paint, etc before Will’s birthday party. Just a few things we need to get done. LOL  This weekend, Bill and his brother are going to carry the furniture out into the garage, so we can start demoing the room that we have down there.  So many things to do, so little time to do it in.
