I swear that my kids never quit eating.  Now, by looking at Madison, you would never guess that.  By looking at Will, you probably would.  As a mom, it is hard to decide what to give your kids as a snack.  I know that I don’t want them eating chips.  Right now, my kids are cereal snack freaks.  They can easily finishing off a big box of cereal in less than a week due to eating it for breakfast and then snacking on it the rest of the day.  I try and pick nonsugary cereals as much as I can (though when daddy goes grocery shopping, he lets Madison pick a box of her own choice which usually is a tad more sugary than I would like). Madison loves vegetable too, so you would think this would be easy.  However, the normal things you would find in a veggie tray is off limits for Will (per his doctor).  I can’t feed Madison something I can’t give Will.  So, in my house, our snacks tend to include cereal, fruit cups, and goldfish crackers.  What kind of snacks do you buy for your kids?

Will got his 4 month shots today.  We also reviewed his acid reflux problems.  They aren’t going to up his medicine.  I now have to document every time he eats and how much.  I also am suppose to give him 1 tablespoon of cereal before I feed him.  The good news is that he is 14 lbs., and 25 inches long now.

I decided not to listen to Will’s doctor, and I started him on cereal tonight. He is only a week from being 4 months. I am still looking for a pen, so I can write this down. He did awesome. No choking at all. There is a couple of reasons why I did it. First, his doctor had me giving it to him in his bottle, so he does have some experience with it.  Second, he wants 6 ounces.  However, everything I give him after the first 4 ounces, he throws up and is miserable.  I am hoping that this will help him not throw up as much.  It didn’t work tonight, but I am sure it takes a little bit of time.  Here are a couple of pictures that I took:

All morning Madison kept telling me she wanted the orange one.  I, of course, had no idea what she was talking about.  I tried naming off everything I could think of that was orange, and that is not what she wanted.  Finally, she took me to the pantry that we keep the cereal in and started pointing.  I then knew who the “orange one” was.
