Chicago luckily got missed with the huge snowstorm. We have some snow but not the 14 inches my friends and family got in Wisconsin. However, instead, we got something much worse. Bitter cold. I’m sitting here right now checking to see if Madison has school (which she does). However, with the wind chill, it’s -25 degrees here. The problem is is that not only do I have to take Madison out in this weather, I have Will to be worried about. That’s where the title of this post comes in. The only logical thing I can do is, I think, ask another parent to walk Madison the block up to the school building (We park at one end of the block. Her school is at the other end. Plus, this is a Chicago city block, so it’s not a short little jaunt.). I’m sitting here, and I can’t come up with a better way to do this, because no 2 year old should be out in this bitter cold. Well, off to get ready and wake some kiddos up. Wish us luck!

Thursday, December 10th, 2009The Good Wife
Saturday, September 12th, 2009CBS has a new series coming out called The Good Wife which I find very interesting. Rumor has it that it is suppose to take place in Chicago (Hmmmm, could all of our corrupt politicians here have something to do with that? Who knows?). I’ll be honest, that immediately peaked my interest. The show stars both Julianna Margulies and Chris Noth which are two of my favorite actors. Margulies plays a wife and mother who must assume full responsibility for her family and re-enter the workforce after her husband’s very public sex scandal and political corruption lands him in jail.
I find the premises of this show very interesting in light of all the “affair” scandals we’ve seen in the last year. It has always floored me that these women “stand by their man”. Bill and I both have an agreement that if one of us cheats — it’s over. No questions asked. It’s done. This show hopefully will shed some light on why these women stay.
Are you going to watch? Would you stand by your man if he cheated on you?
Fox News! Thanks again!
Monday, August 17th, 2009Nancy Loo is the most awesome anchor in Chicago. Seriously, she is. I’m just saying that, because I actually got to meet her in person (and she is tiny). It was really cool that they invited a bunch of bloggers to see what they do behind the scenes. Here’s all of us behind the news desk:

It was super awesome. However, I was floored when I came across Nancy Loo’s post thanking all of us for our insight. (and somebody tell me if I didn’t post about this, because seriously Fox was beyond awesome!)
I Hate Summer Construction
Tuesday, August 11th, 2009Seriously, this is worst year for construction. I mean it is crazy bad. Chicago to Green Bay should only take us about 4 hours. This last weekend (and last weekend too for that matter) took us 6 hours! My kids can barely last the 4 hours, so needless to say it was not a fun ride. There is only so much you can do in a Prius with a 5 year old and a 2 year old. We did have our portable DVD player, but that only works for so long.
Besides the hellish drive, our trip was great. I got to see family both days and catch up. My only complaint is that it was hot and muggy. But that’s summer for you.
I’ve got a couple of pictures I’ll be uploading (when I find my camera) of the kids with their newest cousin Gabe! And for those who don’t know it’s my sister’s birthday today. Make sure you head over to Karebear Central to wish her a happy birthday!
Home From BlogHer
Sunday, July 26th, 2009My goal was to blog from BlogHer. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to due to the internet working and my huge lack of sleep. I have had a great time, and I have lots of great information and pictures I’ll be passing on. I slept maybe 15 hours while it was going on, so needless to say my brain isn’t working (more than normal LOL). After I get some sleep, I am hoping to blog more about this conference.
I met so many wonderful great women this weekend, and I hope I can go to BlogHer next year too!
