Bay Beach Pictures

Monday, June 23rd, 2008

Without further ado, here are some of the pictures we took on Saturday at Bay Beach.  For those of you who have never been to Green Bay, I guess the best way to describe Bay Beach is an amusement park.  It is has been there for years.  It is awesome because it  is so cheap.  When I was little, the tickets were ten cents for the rides.  Now, they are a quarter.  For the kiddie rides, they usually cost 1 ticket.  For the more adult rides, they tend to cost two tickets.  You can easily go there with your family for an entire morning and not spend $20!  The little girl we are with is my cousins daughter. Now, my sister couldn’t go with us since she had to attend a wedding instead. She did say that they gave away some pretty cool bridesmaid gifts. However, her husband was the one standing up, so they missed out on that. I think we spent about two hours at Bay Beach, and that was about the right amount of time. The kids weren’t crabby yet and still had tons of fun.

The Weekend

Monday, June 23rd, 2008

We had a great weekend. We went up to Green Bay. Bill went camping with my dad, uncles, and cousins for a guy weekend. The kids and I stayed with my mom. We took the kids to Bay Beach on Saturday, and Madison had a blast. My plan is to get some pictures posted up a little later. Madison was so disappointed that we couldn’t go back again this weekend (we have some parties to go to and Bill’s parents are coming back from 2 weeks in Hawaii).

How was your weekend?

March of Dimes March For Babies

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

My sister over at Karebear Central is walking in Walk America this weekend up in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Since we are in the middle of a remodeling project, the kids and I aren’t going up there. However, I would love to surprise her and help her raise money for such a great cause!

I truly believe that without the research the March Of Dimes has done, my kids would not be here. I had preterm labor issues with both of my children. If they (the doctors) wouldn’t have been able to stop it, my kids would have been born too early and probably would not have survived. My cousins two children were born extremely premature. Her daughter was only 3 lbs when born.

If you ask around your friends and family, you will be amazed at how many people you know that have benefited from the March of Dimes and their research. With that in mind, please consider donating to March of Dimes March For Babies. All those who donate will be included get a link from both me on this blog and a link from my sister on her blog. For anyone who donates $20 or more, I will also write a review about your blog (or whatever you want) over on my Lisa Reviews blog. Leave me a comment if you donate. Thanks!!!!

Grow Baby Green

Friday, April 4th, 2008

I know after I had Will that trying to use natural products was something that we were going to try to do. Grow Baby Green is a website dedicated to helping stay environmentally safe and sound with your child’s products. They give some great idea of how to help the environment and not break the bank. Surprisingly, you may be do some of these things already. For example, recycling your clothes. Both my kids wear hand-me-down clothes. I also pass their clothes down to other cousins who can use them. I have also donated my clothes and other items in the house that aren’t being used to Goodwill, so somebody else can get a use out of them. There is also a great article of why you shouldn’t be using bleach. Did you know that more deaths occur due to the inhalation or ingestion of bleach than from any other household cleaning product? That alone should keep bleach out of your house! Each post has some great eco-friendly products to look at and try out too. This is a great place to stop and check out how you can make little changes in your house and with your kids to help the environment. It is these baby steps that allow for a better environment for us all.

What’s Been Happening In My Life

Friday, August 11th, 2006

Sorry, I haven’t been around for a while. Here’s what’s been happening:

First, we found out that I was pregnant. Then I miscarried a week later. Its been a rough road. I have had good days and I have more bad days. It sucks. I’ll take any advice of how to move on from here. I have graduated from crying myself to sleep every night. So I am making slow progress. Then we found out Bill’s cousins are due when I was suppose to be due. So then all the progress I had made went straight out the window. I did find a support group that we are going to try out Monday night. Bill doesn’t really want to go but I think I need it.

Next, we had a huge storm last night and our basement flooded. The water was coming up from the cracks in the FLOOR!!! Not sure how to fix that!!! Any advice?

My lia sophia is slowly but surely taking off. Did my first two shows and made $255.60. Not bad for about 5 hours worth of work. I qualified for my first excellent beginnings gift certificate, so I get $200 towards more jewelry. Yippee. The new catalog is out, so if any of you want to check the new styles. Click my link and then click on “Our Jewelry” and that should bring it up. Have fun shopping!!!!

Mostly, the miscarriage through us for a loop. We now have a bunch of medical bills that have to get paid. And we were just looking like we were getting ahead.

Have a great weekend all!
