Tiny Prints Classroom Valentine’s Day Cards

Yep, it is that time again. We have to start worrying about what Valentines Day Greeting Cards we are going to be sending to school. This is when having a boy and a girl sometimes stinks, because I can’t use the same cards for the kids. They each have to have their own set. Also, Madison’s class has 25 kids in it. Guess how the Valentine’s Day packs are usually set up — yep, in 12s or I can get 24. However, this year, I found the answer to my Valentine Cards dilemma.

Tiny Prints has everything I need for my cards this year. Here is what I’ll be ordering for the kids classrooms:

I’m sorry, but the sign the wolf is holding is the funniest thing ever!!! I love these cards and so do my kids. Tiny Prints — you scored a home run with your cards this year! Birthday Party

Here’s my dilemma with Madison’s birthday — do I make her a cake or order one? I found a cute recipe that I could make her a cake in the shape of a ice cream cone. However, this cake is semi-labor intensive and will take a good amount of my time. My other option is to go to our local grocery store and order her a cake. Last year, I had them do a Tinkerbell Cake and it was super cute. They have pretty much everything to choose from. I stood there for a least 30 minutes last year trying to decide which one to get. They are very detailed cakes too — they don’t miss the gold chains on the cartoon characters or the little things that kids will notice. On the Tinkerbell cake, there was a toy she could play with. It was Tinkerbell and when you rolled it across the table, the wings move. She still plays with it.

Do you make your children’s birthday cakes?

Christmas Cards

What to do — what to do. Here is my Christmas card dilemma — do I go to Sears and have some Christmas cards done? That is what I have done the last couple of years. However, I could set up a little studio here and take some pictures tomorrow in front of the Christmas tree (well, that is, if we actually get the tree up). Then I could upload the picture to my computer and either just print out pictures to include with our Christmas cards or head over to Walgreens and do their picture cards. Then I wouldn’t have to wait 10 days or more, and it would be a lot cheaper since I need to order over 60 cards! Decision, decisions. I have checked the cards we have gotten so far. A couple of my friends have went the professional route, some took a picture they took over the summer and used that, some took a recent picture and just shoved it in the card, and some used their kids school pictures. Well, that sure didn’t help me decide. On the subject of Christmas cards, I am not a person who writes up those “Christmas letters”. I don’t think anyone wants to know that I found a good deal over at www.corvetteguys.com or that Madison is fully potty trained. (Now, if you send out those letters, more power to you. I do not.) Which brings me back to where I started — how do you do your Christmas cards and what should I do?
