Sick Kids Part II

Last weekend, Will was the sick kid. This weekend it was Madison. Saturday morning she started throwing up and spent the day doing that till about 6pm Saturday night. However, I don’t think Will and Madison had the same bug. Will had it coming out the other end. He only threw up once (the rest would be classified under spit up). She was a big girl. She didn’t freak out or anything. She just did what had to be done.

Unfortunately, when this all started Saturday morning, she threw up all over my love seat. I grabbed her and ran to the bathroom. Unfortunately, when we got in there, she threw up again. I slipped on it. To save her, I did not brace my fall. I think I bruised my tail bone and possibly had a concussion. My rear still hurts today. I can tell you exactly where my tail bone, because it hurts when I walk and sit. My whole back aches. My arms and legs ache. The back of my head still hurts too.

When I went to get out of bed this morning, I couldn’t. Bill thought he would have to plug the coffee makers in to get my rear in gear. What he didn’t understand was that I really could not get out of bed. He ended up having to help me.  I ended up having to lay on my moist heating pad for about two hours.  I am hoping that I can get out of bed tomorrow.  Bill will be at work if I can’t.  I am hoping I can get in at my chiropractor’s office.

Even though all this happen, I am in good spirits.  The Packers won!!!!

BlogWorld – Day 1 Afternoon

Mr. Fab and I decided to eat there at the conference center. I wanted a pepperoni pizza. They didn’t have it, so I ended up with a cheese pizza instead. Then it happened. I went to put Mr. Fab’s phone number into my cell phone, and it wasn’t there! (mini freak out starts now). Luckily, we were at a booth, I had looked at my phone for the time, and then we walked to lunch. It couldn’t have went far. While I emptied out my computer bag, Mr. Fab walked back to place we bought lunch and looked there. We constantly tried calling it. Then Fab came back and I went back to the last booth we were at and retraced my steps. No phone. Trying not to freak out at this point. After calling my phone at least 20 times, finally somebody picked up! It was were we bought lunch!!! Whew!!! If I wasn’t married, I might have kissed Mr. Fab right then and there. I only use my phone sparingly, but it has all of the important numbers I need. It was my way to keep in contact with the other bloggers in Vegas. We finished our lunches and I was going to go check into my hotel. Mr. Fab was going to head back and take a nap (I think).

Well, I got hung up there and decided to go to the sessions I signed up for. Should have went to the hotel instead. The sessions were not quite what I expected. The first session I went to I ended up writing two posts during, checked my email, and read a couple of the forums I am a part of. Yeah, a little bored, but thank goodness for free WiFi. The second session was just as bad. The speaker was pretty much promoting his company that doesn’t allow most people in. Yeah, waste of time. I actually walked out early and found a bathroom to use instead. I headed over to the Izea booth at this point to hopefully catch Ted (which I did):

Yeah, he’s a little crazy. Some may think he needs drug rehab or alcohol rehab or both. However, the guy reminds me of an excited 5 year old. His enthusiasm is actually quite addicting. Shortly after meeting Ted, it was time to go and check into my hotel.

Dentist

I am taking Madison to her first dental appointment on Thursday. Yeah, yeah — I know I should have done this ten months ago, and I have just been putting it off. I have dental insurance, so I am not sure what I was waiting for. I set it up with Bill’s mom to take Will while we go and do this. I am a little worried she is going to freak out.

I have had several jobs that dental insurance was never even an option. I cannot imagine have the dental work that Bill has done or the dental work I need without a dental insurance plan or sort of discount dental plans. A discount dental plan allows you to get discounts at predetermined dental offices. For example, a couple of years ago, Bill had to get the veneers on his two front teeth. When he was six, a 13 year old girl kicked them out. He had the veneers put on then, and they lasted for quite a long time. The price also went up considerably since he was six. Even with insurance, the bill to us over $500. I can only imagine if you have nothing. My dental insurance yearly costs double (and does not cover much) than the cheapest plan for the discount dental plans over at DentalPlans.com. The discount plan offers you discounts anywhere from 10% to 60%. You have a choice of over 100,000 doctors too. My dentist is already in their plan too.

I know I need braces, and my dental insurance does not cover them (at least for adults, they don’t). A discount dental plan will reduce my cost for braces. When I decide to invest money into my teeth, I know I will definitely be buying one of these discount plans. Why not try and save a couple of bucks?
