The Camcorder Fiasco

Tuesday, December 4th, 2007

Bill and I bought a camcorder before we got married (which would make it almost 7 years old).  We have used it a couple of times since we bought it.  Madison has a concert Thursday at preschool that I HAVE to tape.  Yes, HAVE.  Bill still doesn’t know if he can make it.  My parents and sister can no way make it.  Therefore, I have to tape it.  Sunday night, Bill dug it out and told me to charge the battery, so we could see if it still works.  Well, we are missing the plug in cord.  We ran to Best Buy last night and bought one of the new DVD camcorders, so be looking for that review over at Lisa Reviews!  All I have to say is that I am so glad we didn’t wait till Wednesday night to figure this out.

Go Packers!!!!

Monday, October 29th, 2007

I stayed up to watch the end of the game, and I am so glad I did.  Wow!  It was awesome!!!  The game went into overtime and Brett threw an 82 yard touchdown pass!  Woo hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  That makes the Packers 6 – 1!!!  We felt bad, so we let the Bears win when they did.  :)

A Stand Against Bullying

Sunday, September 16th, 2007

I am so glad I found this story over at Slog. I too wish I knew guys like this when I was in high school. I know you have to be wondering why they are wearing pink shirts.

Well, a fellow classmate (a freshman) wore a pink shirt to the first day of school and was surrounded by bullies who called him horrible names and threatened to beat him up. The two used the Internet, word of mouth, and brought 75 pink shirts for fellow students to wear. The kid who was bullied even got one to wear also. They also brought a pink basketball, pink headbands, and pink arm bands. The boys, David Shepherd and Travis Price, figure about half of the school (there are about 830 kids) wore pink that day.

High school is brutal. I think David and Travis deserve a medal of some sort for what they did. Too often, bullying just gets ignored. It is nice to see someone take a stand.
