Hannah Montana?

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

We stopped by my inlaws house last night.  On the way there, our local radio station (Q101) has a feature called “This Request Sucks”.  It is an alternative and rock station, and people can call in during this time and request songs that suck.  Well, yesterday, we listening while the “This Request Sucks” was on.  A song came on and I said to Bill that I thought it was Miley Cyrus.  Madison said, “It’s Hannah Montana”.  At the end of the feature they tell you who all the songs were by.  Well, guess what?  The song was by Hannah Montana.  Here’s where my confusion comes in.  We don’t watch Hannah Montana.  I have never seen the show.  It isn’t something we discuss in my house.  How did Madison know that was Hannah Montana?  Any ideas?

Proposed Sign Change for Madison East on I-94

Saturday, January 19th, 2008

For those of you not familiar with Milwaukee, North 43 goes to Green Bay and South 94 goes to Chicago. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation may need some body shop supplies to get that sign up though. Being from Green Bay and living in Chicago, I found this quite humorous. I have a feeling my inlaws might not find it as humorous. How about you?

How was your Thanksgiving?

Sunday, November 25th, 2007

As you can tell, I haven’t been posting since we have been in Green Bay all weekend.  It was a lot of fun, and I plan on writing a few posts about it.  We had dinner with my family Thanksgiving night.  We also had another dinner Saturday night again after my sister got back from visiting her inlaws.  Will didn’t sleep while we were there, so Bill and I are a bit beat.  However, I am looking forward to being to sleep in my new bed tonight.

BlogWorld – Day 1 Evening

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

I left BlogWorld and hopped onto the monorail to get back to my hotel. Having been to Vegas two times before, I was excited to ride the monorail. It wasn’t here my two prior visits. You still end up doing a ton of walking, but it definitely does help to get around. The monorail dropped me off at the Hilton. I then walked to my hotel.

Actually, my hotel wasn’t really a hotel at all. Instead, it is a Hilton timeshare. What is a timeshare? Basically, what I did was to rent condos for the 3 nights I was there (actually make that 1 condo for all three nights). Bill and I did not buy a condo. We just borrowed my inlaws. I do think you can buy these as condos for sale. I know this is super confusing. However, since we don’t belong to this, I have a very limited understanding of it. The room was gorgeous. I love staying in places that are better than my house. I had a king size bed for all of me. It was great. Since there was only me staying there, I only got the studio. However, if Bill would have come with, I definitely would have gotten the 1 bedroom. Otherwise, we would have been on top of each other and driving one another bananas.

Once I got settled, I met up with several other bloggers for dinner at a German place there. Anybody who was with — please let me know the name. Bill has been to Germany, and I would love to see if he went there or not. However, I do not know the name of the place. I took a couple of pictures. For some reason, a lot of pictures turned out really dark, so bear with me.

I forgot to take a picture of the beer. It was huge (like a liter of beer). Dinner took forever, but it was good and fun to meet up with everyone!

Vacation

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

Ok, I do not think we are going to Colorado anymore. We weighed the pros and cons and decided against it. We are now looking at Sedona, AZ. If anybody has been there or lives near there, let me know. I am looking for things to do. We are using the Delta tickets we got to get there, and we are staying at one the hotels that is under my inlaws timeshare. From staying at the timeshares before, I know that we will be in a nice place. One of the hotels I looked at, the rooms have 50″ TVs. The only thing that could be better is if it had a tv lift. I am hoping that we can get this booked soon.
