Rain, rain go away
It seriously has been raining in Chicago all week. This has been the second rainiest April in history. I can believe it too. My alley (the one on the side of my house) has been flooded over a week. The kids are climbing the walls (this has been the week of Madison’s spring break). Today, I’ve been watching the devastation that is down south and countering that with the Royal Wedding. (No, I did not stay up. Instead, this is exactly what a DVR is for. Needless to say, I taped it and then watched it later this morning.)
Watching the Royal Wedding is fun when you are also looking at modern bedroom furniture. I got bored with the commentary pretty quickly (because really, who wants to hear Katie Couric during a wedding ceremony). While looking at chests, I then began to wonder what kind of bed will the prince and princess be sleeping in tonight (though I’ve heard all the parties and stuff will go to 6 am, so they may not be getting much sleep). Do the rooms in Buckingham palace have a 5 drawer chest? A poster bed? Four bazillion pillows? I’ll have to check out the History Channel, because I am sure they have a show on the inside of the palace.

David Letterman’s Take On John McCain
If you did not see this last night on David Letterman, you definitely need to watch this video (edited: grabbed wrong video):
I’ve never seen him take such a stand before. However, I don’t blame him for being ticked. McCain canceled last minute on him and left him hanging for a guest. The best part is that the reason he told Dave was a complete lie (He went and did an interview with Katie Couric instead!). They also bring up some good points in their bantering of why McCain suspended his campaign. In case you miss it, it is to force one of the debates to be canceled. And which debate do you think would be canceled? Oh yeah, the vice president one. The one that would show Palin to be unqualified as she is. He also asks why Palin couldn’t just take over campaigning right now? If she can’t be trusted to campaign, how can we trust her the country.
