Sunday, November 30th, 2008If you aren’t lucky enough to have vision insurance or have vision insurance that will only pay up to a certain amount for your contact lenses, you should definitely check out LensShopper. Now, my vision insurance will pay up to $250 a year for contact lenses. That sounds like a lot, but if you wear contacts, you know it isn’t. That only pays for a couple of months of contacts, and then I pay out of pocket for the rest. My last order of contacts I stilled owed money on after they took the insurance off. That is where LensShopper comes into play. Their lenses are a ton cheaper than what I normally pay for my contacts! They even have even better deals if you order in bulk! I love that it tells me how long the delivery time is and whether or not the contacts are even in stock. Nothing is more annoying than ordering contacts, and then after you place your order, you find out their are backordered. I love that they even make it easy to find the best deals on their site by listing the best deals for each kind of contacts. If you just want to search out your contacts, you can choose to search by manufacturer, lens type, and even popular lenses.
Now, I personsally use the Focus Night & Day contacts. I found on their site that I can get a box for $40.95 (if I order bulk) and get free shipping! I love free shipping! That is a darn good deal for my contacts! I would save almost $40 off my normal order of 6 boxes! I can’t complain about savings like that! If you need contacts, you need to definitely check out LensShopper for all your contact needs!
Epson/Sparkplugging Event

I am sooo far behind, but I went to this awesome event last Thursday. Wendy Piersall was so kind to invite me, and I met so many awesome Chicago women. It was a great girls night out. The drinks and food were awesome (note to self: don’t drink the drink above and expect to go to bed. It was 2 am before I remembered that that drink had Red Bull in it). I’d like to give a shout out to all the wonderful women I met (now, if I don’t mention you and you were there, I didn’t get your card! Just let me know, so I can add you to this list): Barbara, Beth, Kim, Kim, Karen, Arianne, Jessica, Amber, Jayne, and Sima. It is nice to exchange ideas with fellow women who understand social media and the uses of Twitter. I hope to meet these incredible women again.
Bad Luck Go Away
Saturday, October 25th, 2008My family and I have had a tough time this year. First, my aunt died in June (she was in her late 50’s). Then my uncle died (he was in his 80’s). Now, my cousin, who was only 55, just died of ovarian cancer. it is crazy. It sucks being four hours away, because I tend to miss out on these kind of events. I feel extremely guilty that I could not make the wake or the general. I have to take into account disrupting my two children schedules, my schedule, arranging babysitting, and sometimes it is just too hard. I keep telling my mom we have had our three times of bad luck, so we are done for the year. I hope I am right. We deserve a break, so we can sit on a modern sofa and just enjoy life. It really puts your life into perspective and realize how good we all really have it.
